I'll take a picture tomorrow and post it here.
Your doubts are correct my friend, Zippos never come so cheap otherwise why they are the famous ZIPPO and not anything else

They are definitely the carbons of the originals, you can also check out the original website Zippo.com too for the prices

Re: Zippo Lighters - You Own

Can you guys tell where to get the stone for a Zippo lighter? I don’t want to get something from a local shop, if there is some good options available, preferably the one shown in the picture.

I agree with you ruchirtnt. My only hope now is they're smuggled ones! Let me post some pictures of my lighter, the packaging and the embossing today, and experts who can help identify a replica will definitely do, I believe

Clicked some pics when I went home for lunch. Can anyone identify whether it's genuine or a replica?

go through this thread, i have shared a link to find out between fake and original. in my opinion, snaps looks that of the original zippo only.

I too received my zippo yesterday and it is really awesome piece, one more thing i noticed for a original piece is that it sounds a CLICK when the shutter is opened which in my experience does not come with fake one

I went through the link and guess what!! My Zippo has all the things to call it genuine, plus, I scanned the bar code on the package and searched on Neo Reader. It indeed said that it was a "ZIPPO LIGHTER"

Did you purchase this via Ebay for 1600 bucks? Can you share the link of the same?

Even I wanted to buy a Zippo for some time now, but was a little wary of purchasing via Ebay, and the shops in my vicinity had stocked Zippos upwards of 3000 bucks.

my earlier zippo black is not available with this seller but you can find once you google on ebay. i always find buying from ebay to be a safe bet

Re: Zippo Lighters - You Own

Would anyone happen to know where authentic Zippos are available in Pune? There is apparently a William Penn store at the Inorbit Mall on Nagar Road, do they sell them? Anywhere closer to the city?

Cheers,
Rahul

Re: Zippo Lighters - You Own

^^^Nope. Not in the William Penn store in Inorbit Mall.

There are scores of places where you can get genuine zippo's. Try these guys:
1. Landmark in SGS Mall, Camp and other places
2. Faisals on MG road
3. Vanity (or something like it), shop in Kumar plaza on MG road
4. AK's on MG road (This one i have some doubts about but the lighter I bought from them worked fine)
5. Reliance (the one with the books/toys and the like) in Phoenix, Viman Nagar

I usually buy my supplies from Faisals on MG road. Reputed to be the oldest guys to stock zippo in Pune and the stuff is always genuine.

Fuel in my zippo gets consumed too quickly even when i am not using it quite often and i filled the fuel to the maximum level possible, does it happen with zippo?

yes it does. the fuel compartment isn't exactly air tight hence slowly, but steadily, the fuel evaporates.
