Safety campaigns by manufacturers. - Anti text by VW group

"Mobile is now the leading cause of death driving" "Keep your eyes on the road" is an awareness campaign against the use of mobile phones while driving by Volkswagen.
The ad is so creatively crafted that it drives the point in most effective way possible.

Mods, please move the contents if this doesn't warrant a thread as such.

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

New Mobilio ad.

Will be liked by many and also disliked by many.. I found it average.

I know, here he is just 'acting' as asked to and not using his originality, but if the ad-maker would have let him speak impromptu it would have been a better ad :P

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

HI All,

I was wondering, which ad does this headline refer to?

http://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/c...w/37535537.cms

Does anyone have a clue?

Cheers!

I guess they are talking about the stupid bike ad where the biker starts from home in boxers and gets fully dressed on the bike by the time he reaches his girlfriend. IQ level demonstrated by the ad agency -> slightly less than a rock.

Talking in a politically correct manner - yes I agree

But at the same time I liked the ad if I look at it in isolation - neatly done, well edited, good background score and most importantly moving away from the stupid 'graphic' based ads of Hero motors earlier

Well made ad...but do we need this to be shown on a public platform? Am not sure. At my age, am not going to get inspired But don't know about the young blood!!

+1. There is some charm & style to it. I liked the ad so much. I think it's the background score that helps. The guy makes the stunts look so simple; especially the last portion.

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

Surprised that this one hasn't made it to this thread, yet.

Btw, I find the Honda Mobilo ad - mediocre. The only smart part in it is that they have managed to hide an ugly car. I hope sales associates of Honda don't get inspired by the ad and act cheeky with customers.

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

We can agree to disagree then on this one!! It is an overkill and just really plain silly in my opinion and possibly ofcourse plagiarized from the Mr. Bean scene where he does exactly the same thing , except in a car

Re: The BEST & the WORST Advertisements on TV

En route to the office, heard the radio ad:
@MODS, please amend/delete if this post is not relevant here

SKODA, Simple Clever Radio Advertisement:

School Girl Main Skoda par bahut naraaz hoon. Abhi meri teacher monsoon mein bhi school aane wali hain apni Skoda Gadi par. So no free periods and stuff...Blah Blah..

Voice Over: Get your Skoda services for free this monsoon with the 31 point check up.

Skoda....Simply Clever.

----
My inference as a lay man listening to the ad for the first time:

1) Girl is angry with Skoda. Hell....Most of the end users are for some reason or the other

2) Skoda break down rates are so high in normal days that with the 31 point check up, the teacher is able to come to school "finally" in her Skoda.

The advertisement needs a listening to. This will help understand the tone and the inference that I am making here will then sound relevant!!

I kind of like it.
Though its unclear whether they are trying to sell the car, or trying to get more people to watch his show.

One that really makes me change channel instantly. One second of it gets into my nerves. IMO, Exaggeration has a limit.
