The latest Fogg deo series of ads.

"Kya chal raha hai"?

"Fogg chal raha hai".

What does that even mean?

The latest Airtel 4G ad on TV is the most irritating. The Ad gets on my nerve and the 4G girl gets more than the nerve. IRRITATING.

I believe that's the Airtel troll, that thing might pop up out of anywhere- mobile phone, television, sewers, underneath your very own sofa etc. It believes in spreading the word about Airtel's superfast 4G network (which in my experience leads to zero signal when LTE is enabled), teaching people about internet sharing packs so that they may waste much more of their time daily, teaching teens in hostel to surf the mobile net at night so that they might recover 50% of the cost in the morning leading to fabulous savings of their parents income and also to teach ground-breaking truths like "ye duniya gol nahi hai".

I seriously miss ads like this.. this one knocks the message out of the park.

For me, the best auto-related ad has been the Tata Safari's ad which said 'Reclaim your life'. Sad to see that Tata doesn't bring such ads now and we have "Ma ma ma multidrive" kind of ads now.
JK tyre and Apollo tyre ads of last year were also good. Other than automotive, I like the 5 Star and Snickers ad also.

The worst ad would definitely be the current Idea 3G 900 ad. When I first saw the ad, I was like Airtel is now up with their 4G and Idea discovered 3G finally. What an (as****e) idea!? And could someone let me know what highway has to do with Idea internet?

re: The Best & Worst Advertisements on TV

Just saw KUV1OO Ad, realised that they have shown youngsters asking for lift on the middle of the road and Varun Dhawan offers them by stopping on the right most lane. So, is the road in Goa planned that way or a big goof up by the Ad Agency, I think its the latter.

Adding one more ad to my list of 'Worst' advertisements, and it is -

Munch Ad!

I mean, how that lady does 80 in the dB meter (?) and that dude with a munch manages 120! I could immediately think of ICE gurus with tons of money gone into their setups to extract 140-150 dB, which 2 Munch chocolates worth Rs. 20 can easily beat.

Reminds me of another joke, where a Doctor coming after studying from a foreign university fainted when he saw a person selling a book for Rs. 5 at the bus stop. The book title was "How to become a Doctor in 5 minutes".

Adding on to the list is the skoda ad where he just buys a rapid and comes home to his wife who had sent him to buy fruits.

re: The Best & Worst Advertisements on TV

The Volvo ad. :
In the beginning I used to like it. Now I feel spooked by the whisper!

Airtel 4G :
I'd actually pay to NOT see the ad.

Unless you've handsomely paid for promoting / marketing a product in a theatre / any private property, it's not easy to see how unfair it is for someone doing it seemingly without permissions & for free!

The "sneaky sales girl" mode had random competition & unsolicited advice (which btw was unreal & actually banned).

I hoped they'd change the theme then, but it's still similar. It feels imposing & this is going too far for comfort.

Also, the image of person has gotten creepy & psychotic because of this IMO.
