Hi mate, the question does look simple yet its difficult to reply. But going by your wish I really feel that the regular life of any person becomes boring after a certain point and he/she surely needs a break so I just want you to spend this Sunday as you wish i.e get in touch with your chilled out persona and do something that gives you the much needed excitement and may you always be in best of health.

Yessir, Very rightly said, routine life tends to get boring at a certain point. Looks like this Sunday has to be some time out with friends or maybe a good game of squash!

All I wish for is an invisibiliy cloak or a Mr. India watch. Don't ask me for what.

Re: The One Thing you wish you had in life

Almighty has been really benevolent to bless me with most of the items on the list. By His grace everything is smooth and calm. The choice may change from time to time. But currently what I (read: my family) needs is a break. The nature of my job permits me to take, at the max, just a couple of days off from my workspace. So I've cast my vote for a well planned vacation.

Thanx buddy 4 this poll.

Re: The One Thing you wish you had in life

By God's grace, I have been enjoying my life so far. The one thing I wished for is to relive my childhood days along with my son. Be carefree and dont think much about responsibilities, money, lavish lifestyle. Be simple and see the world differently through a child's eye just as I seeing my son do it. Opted for option no 9.

Mate, Life in today's time wont change so its upon us to capture those beautiful little things that makes our lives even more meaningful. Secondly, I believe quality of life is more important rather than the quantity of things required to live a good life.

I totally respect you mate. Parents always do a lot for their children so the children should also stand up and hold their hand and walk with them in their old days. Your parents are lucky to have you.

See mate, Job comes and goes but family is forever there in your life. You may change your meeting schedule for some other day but when you change your plans for an outing because of a job then you just have to see that look which is there is your loved one's eyes.

My idea of starting a thread like this one came from a very humble and respected person and I am happy to see you all giving it the much needed time.

Sir, It's a known fact that there is a child in all of us and its just a matter to recognize it at the right time. Age is never a barrier so just like a child go with your son and buy a cricket bat and a ball and play a match this Sunday. I bet not only your son but you shall love it too.

Re: The One Thing you wish you had in life

Its tough to pin down just one thing that one'd like in his/her life. There are so many things to be achieved in a lifetime. My top 5 list would be:
1. A reasonably good lifestyle
2. Good health for my near and dear ones
3. Like a true BHPian a garage with a stunning motorcyle and a stunning car that don't cost a fortune!
4. Freedom to travel and write
5. No EMIs!

Re: The One Thing you wish you had in life

Good health for all the people around, without doubt!

I cannot express the contentment I had when I walked out of the hospital today morn with my parents, after spending 4 days and 4 nights for a terrible viral fever that happened due to a liver infection and subsequent enlargement. Out of those 4 days, I spent 2 in hell, literally! It was that bad - a very painful and irritable condition, temperatures soaring as high as 105' F, throwing up frequently (even drinking water caused me to), 10 injections a day through the I.V. canal, 4 bottles of drips. I couldn't get off the bed for 2 days and lay like a paralysed body - a sight that caused my parents so much of worry and tension.

The doctors couldn't diagnose the problem and were flummoxed for the first few days. Blood tests were done daily and they even went ahead with a chest X-ray and a scan of the belly area which revealed that the lever was enlarged. Unfortunately none of them helped much. My parents had a second thought if they should relocate me to a better hospital in Coimbatore or Thrissur. In the meantime, the docs ruled out everything - jaundice, typhoid, dengue fever, malaria among others. One doctor aptly termed it 'viral fever of unknown origin'. And started administering a high dosage of a broad spectrum antibiotic along with 2 others with a hope that things would improve. We left the rest to the Almighty. Relatives and a few friends dropped by offering support and prayers.

The condition improved yesterday afternoon and the doctor gave me the discharge summary today morn. I felt so relieved. I am being constantly reminded that happiness lies in good health above everything else. If we are healthy, we can lead a happy and worry-free life. I am bound to drop this message here today thanks to the suffering I had been through during the last 4 days.

Apologies for the slightly long post.

Mate hi, its actually a tough question. Life is never short for achievement as even in old age people do achieve their aims. Going by your wishes it seems you are slightly missing out on the planning aspect of life. A good lifestyle can be achieved with not just money but also with the urge to go out and spend quality time with family which surely will give you the peace of mind and help you in achieving your desired wishes.

1st Love!! oh sir, I bet its truely special and never in life can anybody else be in that zone because that place is kept for the special one.

For your 2nd question, I admit that this impossible wish came to my mind after a lot of first hand info gained from very reliable sources of mine.

Brother, you wrote this from your heart just like my other bhpian mates have. Your post gives us an insight into the importance of good health. I understand the tension your parents must have been in seeing you in a terrible state but almighty blessed you and may you keep best of health in future and recover soon mate.

Cheer up now!! The worst got over so its time to chill and have a smile.

Mate, A common yet essential wish for a happy life I must say. Try spending quality time with your loved ones, try living your hobby (believe me only a few fortunate people get to live their hobbies) and dont pay any attention to the negativity around you.

Appreciate your view sir. Everyone needs this, it's just not me. All I wanted to convey is materialistic pleasures have taken out the very important values of life in every human being during this era we are witnessing.

For every individual, something or the other worries take out the small pleasures of life away from them. That's the truth today. Somebody worries about his wealth, another worries about his job, worries about the different views of the society, dependency, financial stability, cars, status what not.

Health is anyway lost when one has so much worries or concerns. That's why I mentioned, PEACE OF MIND is everything everyone needs in today's hustle bustle life we are leading.
