Re: Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 (MH370) goes missing

MH370, the documentary is out on Netflix today. I watched part of the first episode and it is like any other investigative Netflix documentary.

An interesting watch nevertheless.

MH370: Debris From Missing Boeing 777-200ER Confirmed In New Report
  • Debris found in Madagascar has been independently confirmed to be from the missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, providing new clues in the ongoing mystery.
  • Aerospace engineer Richard Godfrey's study of the debris concludes that it originated from the aircraft based on various factors such as its dimensions, weights, and paint coatings.
  • Despite limited findings, including 41 confirmed debris items, the larger aircraft and its passengers remain missing, leaving much of the MH370 mystery still unresolved.

Is this for real or some kind of publicity?

The dissapearance of the plane, en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing, led to the largest aviation search in history, which ended in January 2017 without finding anything. The scientist, who works at the University of Tasmania’s Institute for Marine and Antarctic Studies, suggests the plane is located in a deep 6,000-meter trench at the eastern end of the Broken Ridge in the Southern Indian Ocean.

The debris location suggested in this article cannot be ruled out. It falls in the wide search area mapped for MH370.

Your doubt is understandable. There have been such reports in past, like MH370 found in the Cambodian jungles etc.

Re: Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 (MH370) goes missing

Ten years after Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 vanished, carrying 239 passengers and crew, the Malaysian government has approved a renewed search for the missing aircraft.

This new search will be undertaken on a “no-find, no-fee” basis by US-based marine exploration firm Ocean Infinity to find the aircraft.

The “no find, no fee” agreement ensures that the Malaysian government will only pay Ocean Infinity if the wreckage of MH370 is located.

While the chances of finding the wreckage may be slim, the families remain hopeful that the renewed efforts will provide answers and bring some measure of peace.

Another research scientist with another theory says that the wreckage is located.

Dr Vincent Lyne claims to have pinpointed a single yellow pixel in a global terrain model of the ocean floor—an anomaly that could indicate the long-lost plane. The pixel was found using GEBCO bathymetric data, which maps underwater terrain. According to Dr Lyne, the anomaly appears at Latitude: 33.02°S, Longitude: 100.27°E, in a crater at the eastern end of Broken Ridge, a deep and rugged section of the Indian Ocean.

Wasn't the debris located some time back? Or is it still a mystery?

Re: Malaysian Airlines Boeing 777 (MH370) goes missing

I read some story about the plane actually taken to some military base and all the passengers imprisoned. Said some phones became active and were tracked. And the real targets were 4-5 chip design patent holders, all from a single company who were onboard.

PS: It was an insta story and am not able to locate it now

Only 5-6 parts were found / confirmed from MH370 in East Africa and South Africa.
