Yesterday I & Salil (tbhpian salilpawar1) visited Tata Motors showroom to see newly launched MANZA.
There we see the 1:43 scale models of Fiat Linea & Fiat 500 by Norev ( both made in Thailand); Fiat Linea is for Rs.285/- & Fiat 500 is for Rs.500/-. Finishing is good. Should be my next buy for Christmas.

The new Ford F-150 Raptor was tested through some of the dangerous Passes at Beck Bagan, Kolkata. :D the back up / camera crew followed them in a Hummer H3.

En route Tulsi Pass:

There was a land slide - lots trees were uprooted

on the way back the Hummer got stuck:

but somehow it makes it, followed by the F-150 (see one wheel on air)

Thats the fun part. :D Go through each of them look at the level of detail. Imagine it lying in your showcase. Its loads of fun and I can spend hours doing it. Only problem my wife doesn't like the sight of an adult shifting through the stack with kids all around doing the same. He he...

There is store next to where I stay on ORR. They have the military versions of these, but the rocket launcher can be removed easily.

They even have Classic and Armada models. Let me know, I will pick them up for you.

That's my little secret. I can share with you though:D

What you don't see in the pics is a thin black thread tied to the rear of the car (whose other end is tied to the frame of the treadmill) holding it in place for the camera. Although the wheels are rotating backwards(as the treadmill rolls), in the pics, they appear like those of a running car.

It wasn't easy though. Every now and then, I had to make corrections as the car was weaving along the width of the track. Coupled with the slow shutter speed(to give the blur to the wheels) and the low lighting of the room, even small camera movements would give hazy images. Keeping it in focus and moving it along with the car was another story altogether.

That you liked my pics was worth all those efforts though. Thank you.

ahoy
do let me know which store this is - I can easily drive up there and maybe we can sift through those cars and pick some!
my wife thank god understands my scale model madness and encourages me in the same!
cheers!

I got them @ Big Bazzar :), cost me around 80 -100 Bucks. Lot of Indian Cars are in Centy toys range, but good Ones are

1. Tata Truck

2. HM Ambassador

3. MM 540 DP & Mahindra CJ with and without rocket launcher, Armanda is ok but Scorpio is better.

4. Maruti Swift is another good looking one.

All others you can choose on your wish.

Also the Sapphire shop on richmond road and brigade road did had Centy Toys Range.
