Just rediscovered this Maisto 1:24 Ford Escape that I had bought in the US 14 years ago. I found it in a box full of old car parts in my storeroom. Has held up quite well for it’s age and the conditions in which it was stored:
Mercedes Mania!
1. 1:64 180D Ponton (Schuco)
2. 1:43 W124 500E AMG (Solido)
3. 1:43 W223 S-class (Herpa, MB original)
4. 1:43 W212 E-class (Maisto)
5. 1:43 230 SL (MB original)

Please help me find these cars cant find them on the Indian market.
In recent times, I have added a Tarmac Works Koenigsegg Jesko (Attack) to my car centric possessions. It also happens to be my first premium 1:64 diecast model!
The car arrived in a nice box (A bit smaller than my phone).
Inside, it was neatly tucked into a plastic case. Gave off a cool levitating effect.
Head lights are their own piece instead of being painted on, look incredibly nice.
Small text on the tire says Michelin, it is clearer in person.
Koenigsegg emblem on the wing mounts cannot go unnoticed. It says 251 on both sides of the wing.
Following the headlights, even the tail lights are made out of separate pieces. Underside of the wing has "Koenigsegg" printed onto it.
The wing flexes a bit when pressure is applied on the extreme edges, it is acceptable. Does not feel delicate though.
This has to be my favourite angle to view the car.
Details galore on the car! The paint quality is fantastic and it feels nice in the hand. The only drawback is the rubber side mirrors that aren't very durable. This is not a Tarmac Works specific issue, most of the 1:64 diecast models I have seen are plagued by it. Nothing would go wrong if it is well taken care of though.
Here is a picture I think is cool and also a parting shot.

Purchased this piece of history recently, the fastest car in the world between 1992 and 1993! 1:18 Maisto Jaguar XJ220. This model has working front and rear suspensions and working sun visors as well.
Thanks :) |
That's a really nice find. I have one too in the British Racing Green shade. I had bought it for Rs. 1500/- back in 2003 if I remember.

Thank you!
Delighted to learn you have this as well! British Racing Green is the ideal shade for such an iconic British car, although it was owned by Ford during that period.
I got a NOREV 1/43 scale model of an Indian spec Citroen C3 from eBay (ironically, NOREV doesn’t ship this to India). This is my second one, as the first one started to break. Have been on the lookout for one for over a year now
