1:64 Toyota Fortuner
Went to a store close by and saw this 1:24 sized Mercedes W140 model, a Chinese make. For the price of Rs.1,700 I felt the exterior was pretty good but interiors was just ok. Never saw a model of the same from other makers, so bought it anyway.
I believe it’s the same that ArTigor had posted earlier, a white one. They also had this BMW which I may get next time. The post is in my regional language but posting it anyway (

Added a W460 SWB G Wagon to my growing G Wagon collection.
1:18 Scale.
I just acquired my smallest cars yet. The scale is 1:148. The blue one is a “Frog Eyed” Austin Healey Sprite and the green one is an Austin Mini 1275 GT. To put things into perspective about how small they actually are, I’ve placed a Hotwheels Hummer EV next to the Healey.

Yes it's the same one. Looks good in black, especially the chrome elements stand out in black.
That BMW is an amazing model, even I am planning to get it.
By the way, when I bought the Mercedes model a few months back, it was retailing at 2200 rupees, now it seems the prices have fallen.
The price is actually nothing for such a well detailed 1:24 model. Here is mine wit a 1:24 Range Rover.

The latest addition is a special one. I don’t usually collect old cars but when the chance came to grab this, I couldn’t help myself because the car is truly iconic. My dad and I are Bond fans so this is for him.

Unfortunately, as i am unable to unbox this fully and make a video, i am linking a youtube video which shows the crazy level of details this has!

Hello Readers,
Do you'll remember the scale model scene from 2000-2010s??
Kinsmart, Maisto, Matchbox by Mattel, Welly, Bburago were easily found in toy shops and outlets like Hamleys and shopping marts. In fact, there was more variety of models to choose from than the current day scenario after bans by the Govt. With the influx of Chinese manufactured scale models, I personally don't feel the attraction to them as they just don't meet the fineness and perfection of the earlier mentioned ones while maintaining a cheaper price tag under 1K-2K.
To elaborate, just have a look at my maternal uncle's collection who is settled in U.S. and has left behind these in the showcase(there maybe more somewhere for sure :) ). All of these were collected from early 2000s till 2015 maybe..

The count of these could be easily in 300-400s

The arrangement of these was a bit disturbed while renovating the room, hence all the ruckus...

This particular Scania Fire Engine was bought for mere 800 Rs and has a ladder which can be extended almost 5ft. Today, this particular model is sold for around 25K in the market.

Few of the boxes I found whilst cleaning the storage room

Apart from these, there are more than 100 1:18 models of Vespas & Harleys by Maisto (I couldn't find the pics unfortunately)
Now, I would like to present my own collection that I could do in sole 2024. I will share the rest of my collection of 1:18, 1:32, 1:43 and 1:64 that I made earlier, sometime later.
In 2024, things seem to be restoring at a very slow pace...
This grocery shopping after Gym just hit different!!
No wonder how, Hot Wheels mainlines are getting better details on few models these days!! Quite VFM

The McLaren F1 was the most detailed and proportionally casted Hot Wheels casting available in the Indian Market of 2024.
A glimpse of my favorites of 2024 apart from the F1:

The front & side details are just dope. Based on the legendary Dakar Rally Rothmans livery of Porsche 953.
Another legend

A few modern trending machines with different roots
Stumbled upon this wonderful casting of Mitsubishi Pajero by Tomica Premium Japan, loved it!
Apart from handful of Hot Wheels Mainlines & Premiums, these days majority of 1:32, 1:24, 1:18 and larger scale models from reputed manufacturers are either absent in the market, or are hugely expensive, just not the ones which our heart wants! Only a limited stock! And not to forget the scalpers who ruin the game.
As we enter into 2025, my new year wish is, may our small scale model collectors community get the good old days where there was a plethora of models and less scalpers.
