This is as gorgeous as they come.

For me, the 250GTO and the 250 SWB California are possibly one of the prettiest cars ever made. Took some patience to find a plain version but it is here finally. 1:18 Kyosho Ferrari 250GTO. This will go next to the only other classic car in my collection - HW Elite 1:18 250 SWB California in black!

Lamborghini LM002

Bought something after a long time. A Lambo at that! :D

I like the details (whatever is possible in this 1/64 scale) at the back, especially the registration and logo.

I was lucky enough to find this in one of the Facebook groups.

The Hotwheels Ford Model-T from the Hotrod Oilcan Series.

The Scale Model Thread-img_6843.jpeg

The Scale Model Thread-img_6844.jpeg

Though this is a hot-rod version of the model and not the exact production-spec version of it, it is still a rare piece.

This also marks the resumption of collecting 1:64 models for me since I moved to collecting 1:24 and 1:43 scales 10 years ago, and it is the only model so far that I am planning to keep sealed.

Cruisin’ in style, fresh off the lot 🚙💨 but built not bought ⚙️🦾‼️
Being new to this hobby it took a month to figure out the best for my RC rig to convert it from stock setup to better upgrades. I had to go through couple of sleepless nights ,invest a large sum of money , time & patience to an extent of getting exaggerated until I accomplish this project to my flavour.:loveit

Hi folks, bit of a specific request. I'd like to purchase a scale model of an Audi A1 (8X generation produced from 2010-2018) 5-door in Shiraz Red. The size doesn't matter (anything from 1:43 to 1:18 is okay), but the other parameters cannot be changed.

Where can I begin to get this? Shipping to my home address in India preferred but not necessary.

There is a Shiraz Red available at automania. Unfortunately it is the 3 door version. Maybe you can contact them and if someone makes it, they can source.

you could also connect with carcollectiveonline on their website. I purcahse from both and have never had any issues

Guys, i am interested in buying this model. However instead of shelling out a fortune, i wished to know if i could get any for lesser price. A discount on unsold inventory or a re-loved one.
Couldnt find any on usual platforms. Couldnt find a more apt thread or a way to place a wanted post in classifieds. Hence posting here.
Any leads will be helpful. Thanks.

Might be a bit off topic, but couldn't find a better place to share this.

I recently finished restoring (well technically restomodding) my first ever HotWheels that I bought sometime in 2002. Over the years it had been used as a roller-skate, thrown and jumped from varying heights, been in crash tests, set on fire, and then eventually forgotten, relegated to a storage box that moved with us from city to city.

Recently I had been consuming a lot of content of people customising 1:64 scale cars. I was utterly fascinated by the sheer level of craftsmanship and detail people could achieve. Eventually this lead me to discover the motivation and confidence to undertake such an endeavour myself. What followed was many weeks of research, spending a lot of money on tools and paints, importing some parts, and creating a replacement windshield from a donor car!

Enough rambling, I'll just let the pictures do the talking :)

A special mention about these wheels, they're called "Carlomo S Class" and have ball bearings in them, so the disc can stay stationary while the wheels and tire spin! Its brilliant!

What it looked like after more than 20 years use. The zinc rot was a menace to fix.

Notice how the old windshield is discoloured and disfigured? Thats from the fire from when I jumped it through a ring of fire as a child :p

Test fitting the windshields. Getting this to fit right was also a pain. Took a lot of careful sanding and reshaping.

The Scale Model Thread-img_20240609_001635730.jpg
The masking was really tricky since this was a step-side style truck and I wanted the bare metal to show in a brushed finish.

All the finished parts before final assembly.

Although this ended up costing me a lot more that I expected, I'm completely satisfied with it. Not only did I get to learn something completely new, but I have been able to save a piece of my childhood. I think this may become a new hobby of mine! Restoring old die cast toys!

Hello,

Recently purchased this 1/24 Rolls-Royce Phantom and I found it to be pretty interesting! It is not a licensed product, but I am really surprised by its quality and the details in it.

I had been eyeing on this for a while, and the only thing that kept me away was the fact that it is not licensed. Also, I love luxo barges as much as I like supercars and was looking for a companion for my 1/24 Welly S-Class. That's where the Rolls-Royce fits right in.

A size comparison with the Welly S-Class. The Phantom, here, appears to be as big as the S-Class which makes the believe that it is not really a 1/24 scale model, perhaps a 1/26 scale one.

One of my favourite pastimes nowadays is looking for steal/deals on kleinanzeige.de and the Flea markets and so far have added the following cars to the collection

1962 Ferrari 250 GTO, by Bburago, Italy: As with other Bburago models, great build quality, attention to detail and faithful reproduction of the actual vehicle.

1987 Ferrari F40, by Bburago, Italy: Another Bburago classic, maintained in pretty decent condition, though the plastics have aged and look a bit faded. Lovely attention to detail on the engine bay, exhaust routings etc.

1996 Ferrari 550 Maranello, by Maisto, Thailand: Picked this one up at a Fleamarket and is in great condition. Nice detailing on the V12 engine and interiors as well.

2002 Ford GT, by the Beanstalk group ( Minichamps), Germany: I bought this one as a gift for my friend, him being a huge Ford GT fan. Excellent detailing on the interiors and the engine. The way the doors click have a differnt feeling compared to the other models and paint quality is also a notch better.

2004 Porsche Carrera GT, by Maisto, Thailand: One of my favourite Porsches, just for the V10 engine. Lovely details on the headlamps and engine bay.

2010 Lamborghini Murciélago, by Bburago, Italy: My son being a huge Murciélago fan, since the day he saw one drive past our house, just had to have the Murcie and in this lovely Giallo Orion colour looks spectacular. The doors open with a lovely motion and the V12 engine on display are the highlights of the model.
