Re: The Scale Model Thread

I finally got my HWE 458 and Kyosho GT-r delivered today.

I'm pretty impressed with the Ferrari!

Nope a Yellow. I wouldn't have minded a red either though. I really want a 599 but for some reason I can't find one with the rims I want on it and in red.

BTW have you been looking at AA's pricing? NUTS! It first started with the Veyron and then the Koenigsegg then the Mclaren F1 and finally the Zonda R at $280!! The Zonda R looks like a fabulous model though. I really want one but not sure if I should spend that much on a model.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Yep. I have been.. Sadly. Waiting for the "Sang Noir" Veyron and another color in the CCX. If they dont have anything soon, I will have to get the Orange I guess. And the Zonda R is just Beyond sensible... Sadly. Although, I am desperate for the upcoming LP 670.

BTW, my 458 is yellow too. So we are the yellow Ferrari Brothers (LAME)

Another Veyron eh? You seem to be on quite a roll.

Did not know about the Ghost but that one is definitely on my list as well. I'm not the biggest fan of the rims and the panel gaps though.

Along with the W140, W126, W123, W120, W211, W212,F430, 599, 250 and the Zonda R . Although I don't think I'll be getting all of them this year.

Around 140 or something if Im correct. maybe a little less. Dont know as I havent counted in a while. Also, Nice list. Hope you get them. The W120 you get quite a bit here. I am looking forward to the W123, W124 and the W210 too. That will complete my E Class collection. The S Class collection is already complete.

Which RR are you going to have? I would like the Silver. Will turn the bonnet into polished aluminum.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Superb!

I've been wanting to get these but the fact that they're 1:43 is keeping me from ordering them. I think I may just cave in though. There are a lot of cars available in 1:43 that I really want.

I feel like we've discussed this before but 1:18s offer the best bang for your buck in terms of size vs money spent. The difference between 1:18 and 1:43 isn't much price wise but they look very different size wise. 1:12 looks the best but is a bit too pricey.

Nice Fiats!

@Cyrus43:Great Fiat 1100s there!I too am getting the light blue one.In fact, they've already arrived at Automania.
Also,I'm with you on the 1:12s.To me,one of the greatest charms of a scale-model is the miniature detailing.A 1:12 scale-model is just too huge. They, somehow, tend to look like they were easier to make. It's a well-crafted 1:18 scale-model that really makes me smile.1:43s however are just too small and once you're addicted to 1:18,well,they just don't seem to cut it.
