A great collection Pawan. Love the way your scaled cars models have been arranged. Love the Hummer Collection too.

Pawan, where did you lay your hands on those figurines? I wish to get a couple of them too, but never found one in Hyderabad. Any pointers would be of a great help.

Got those figurines with 1940 Cadillac Fleetwood and 1965 Cadillac by Jada Toys and had picked them up in Paris.

Unfortunately we don't get them in Hyderabad.

Is there any place in Hyd where we can get Autoart or Minichamps models..?

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Sharmaji, my issue is my collection is away from me,so i cant click the pics and show it right now.

If i tell you the price you will not beleive it.

60 rs from Crawford market ( Year 2007 i guess ) , where you can buy KINSMART cars in bulk as well.

Now at the most it must be 100rs.

If in mumbai, do visit the wholesale shops in crawford market for scale models.

But your post has inspired me to visit those shops again, i will update you soon with the rates.

@Silverado, the prices are unbelievable man I will definitely look for the Crawford Market, Rs. 100/- nowadays would be a steal.

Sent a PM to you with my contact number, if possible lets go together to Crawford Market and research

Where exactly in Crawford Market is this as I have been to CM a lot of times but never actually thought we would get Scale models there?

Let me know if you are planning a trip on a Saturday and whether it would be ok if I hop along with you.

I have 3 different colour scheme Kinsmart Classic VW buses and none of them has sliding doors though the side door and hatch opens. The picture must clear this confusion.

Also sharing my latest DIY homemade display case. Actually its made of an old Philips DVD carton box. It currently houses most of my classic models along with a couple of shelves dedicated to rally cars.
Am planning on building another case using an old laptop carton i have lying around. Will post some WIP pics then.
Sorry for the bad quality pics.

You mostly get KINSMART @ crawford market , all types that you can see on thier website.

As i said it has been some time since i have visited that place and i intend to do it as time permits.

The market which i am talking about is the one which comes to left ( at the crawford market junction while going towards VT if you do not climb the JJ flyover ) and is opposite petrol pump.

They sell toys in wholesale as well as retail.

Scale is mostly 1:32 / 1:36 depending on the vehicle.
You have to go in the middle market as well to search for shops which sell toys.

The area circled in Red in the one to Explore

Re: The Scale Model Thread

@ silverado no need for apologies its just another doubt cleared.
I think you must be having the scale model without the graffiti. I am planning to get rid of this on one of my bus, just unable to decide which one.
