Hence, these models are valuable more than ever...........I have seen and ridden so many RD 350's that I knew something was amiss the moment I saw it :

Look forward to seeing pictures of yours when you receive it.
Hi Sachin, received my bike today.

I've pouring over the pic you posted in the quoted post, but couldn't find what was wrong with the model.

Almost didn't want to ask (assuming same thing is wrong with my model....see pic), cause then I'd know, and knowing would then bother me.

Congratulations and you can breathe a sigh of relief as the model looks visually in perfect condition

If you see the chrome parts on yours and especially the exhaust then you will notice yours is more shiny and reflective as mine had a lot of pitting due to storage conditions and the biggest one if you haven't identified it yet is the upwards angle of the exhaust almost touching the swingarm.

Thanks for confirming. I'm now inspired to try and buy the real thing.

This is what I thought as well, but if you close enough I think mine has it too (taking a cross sectional pic). Probably just the way it's made because the exhaust doesn't flex at all (it will snap but not bend).

Hi Sajan, so this series of posts started out with me posting a link for the model (there were two available, I bought one). I think the other one is sold out now. But if price is no bar and you're patient, you should be able to find another one on eBay.

P.S., this looks super nice when placed on the side stand.

In that case take a picture from the rear to see if both of them are aligned.

This is how it looked on mine.

Mine also appears to have this variance.

I think the reason is this dent in the left exhaust for the centre stand.

Still, doesn't look as bad as mine had. It is clearly not how this is manufactured or fitted both on the original and the scale model. Only reason I can point at for this to happen is the packaging which I had mentioned earlier as well. Should have used foam instead of hard plastic for such a tight fit. As, because of the constant pressure from the main stand on the exhaust would get it to bend in such a way.

BTW, mine had a broken side stand as well.

So, enjoy the visual and the minute details of the model and congratulations once again

A 1:8 scale model of a very special Ferrari FXX-K Evo: the only XX car with the Indian Tiraṅgā. (This car does exist in real life too.)

Would it be too far a guess to say that it's in your garage?

I reckon that would not be a bad guess.
