@ Naveen - 1:24 scales I take it ? Did you pick them up from Blore ? Im looking for any Alfa Romeo but havent been able to get my hands on one yet.
Those are 1:38 scales. Got them from Chennai. Although the detailing isnt great, it was a bargain since I got them for 130/- a piece.

@naveen.raju, the Ferrari looks hot! Great collection of cars there.

@usaf.23, welcome to the forum. Totally drooling over that G-Wagen and the Rangie. Looking forward to more snaps from your collection.
Cheers

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Friends, gathered a large chunk of my finances to book a Rolls Royce, not a full scale one but one that has been scaled down 18 times! I had to book mine at Automania who have started accepting orders for a model costing Rs. 8995/-. I booked mine by paying Rs. 1000/- and hope to collect the remaining amount by July 2011 (expected delivery). Automania has displayed one such model and I am at a cimplete loss of words to describe the model, why even the trademark RR umbrella stored in the rear door sides comes out. Even though photographs do not do justice to this masterpiece, I managed to take a few which I am adding with this post.

Drool......

They must be Kinsmart make models which retail for the same amount nearly everywhere. I too have all these, but recently lost the tail lamps of the Alfa 147 GTA.

Yep, these are Kinsmart models. Although the body work isnt great, the wheels are really good. Good piece for that price.

Absolutely drool stuff there. Oh, and even the scale model Rolls-Royce is way costlier, commands a waiting period and has to be booked in advance than other similar models. But, going by the looks of it, should be completely worth the price and the wait.

Some random shots of the collection. The black Lambo is the 1:12 Autoart Murcielago. Will do an outdoor shoot of it soon

Automania already got a Display Ghost? Wow! This is great news! I will most certainly be adding it to my collection.

Hi Amar,

Yes, that's indeed a masterpiece. I saw the Rolls at Automania yesterday - incredible detailing - seat belts, even the fold-down picnic trays on the front seat-backs are authentic

Congratulations on a fabulous purchase !!
