Re: The Scale Model Thread

Nice models Naveen. 1:36, I presume? The quality isn't that good. Save up, buy better detailed models maybe 1:24 or 1:18.
I have the Microbus in 1:32 and she looks super-duper cute. Mine has all hippie stuff painted on it.

EDIT: The Murcie SV's plate should read 670 HP. Why 585? :\

Cheers!
Cartman.

Thanks dude. Yes, these are 1:32 models except for the Chevy Impala which is 1:24. I personally prefer 1:32 models because of it's size. I just have four 1:24 models. The detailing isnt great on the 1:32 models. Planning to slowly move into the 1:24 category.

Saw a Porsche GT3 RS yesterday while trying to buy some more models. It was 1:18 and the detailing was awesome. Green with black alloys. But somehow wifey didnt like that color much. So have asked the shop to source some better colors of it. Something similar to the one attached.

Ya, the murcie might be a downgraded vehicle

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Hello friends, yesterday there was an addition to my collection, a BMW M3 Convertible with a retractable hard top by Kyosho. The model is superbly finished and the retractable hard top is a novel feature. I got the model from Automania, Mumbai.
Functioning of the retractable hard top is tricky and a delicate affair.
I will upload images of the model shortly.

Thats a nice initiative there. I wish I were in Mumbai just because of Automania and things like these. When will something like this happens in Chennai?

Naveen, did you buy the Impala online? Is it a Wellys model?

Also where did you spot the GT3? Is it some place in Cochin? Could you PM me the list of places where we get scale models in Cochin?

I had my eye on the GT3 in green for quite a while but it is out of stock at dreamcarmodels in the 1:24 scale.

@ dhrishikesh - very nice initiative.

No, got the Impala from here in Cochin itself and it's a 1:24 Welly.
I spotted the GT3 here in cochin. See the pic of the model I saw. Somehow, I didnt like the color and I was looking for the red color but I should say that the detailing was awesome. It was 1:18 scale.

Neil, I shall PM the details of the shops in cochin where I get.

Re: The Scale Model Thread

Guys, Got myself my first Kyosho and Autoart!
BMW M3 E92 Melourne Red : Kyosho
LAMBORGHINI GALLARDO LP550-2 BALBONI - VERDE ITHACA / GREEN : AUTOart

Some amazing detailing there. One issue with the AUTOart though- I always thought that LP550-2 came with a manual stick, but AUTOart has a paddle shift!

Just a two line text would not suffice. Where are the snaps? Eagerly waiting for them.
