He was in the IIM at Shillong as the Chief Guest for a function and giving a talk when he had a massive heart attack and collapsed on stage.
A teacher par excellence, teaching till the very last breath.

One of the most loved and respected Indian president (former), Bharat Ratna, Padma Vibushan, Padma Bushan, Dr Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam is no more.

He suffered a massive cardiac arrest when delivering a lecture at IIM Shilong earlier today. An extra ordinary individual in all walks of life.

Its a sad news indeed! A real Indian Jewel lost :( He was such an inspiration!

One of his most inspirational quotes was "Dreams are not that you get during sleep, it's those that do not allow you to sleep"

He passed away doing what he loved doing -Teaching. Maybe if he could choose, he would've chosen this way to depart.

He will be missed!

This greatly saddens me, I can say that he was one of the very few people in India to stay away from the light of controversy and be equally loved and respected by all fellow Indians. May god look after his soul.
