Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

To all Bhpians

I am shocked.

Some people command respect through their posts and demeanour and DB is one of them.To me , he will continue to guide all moto aficionados from wherever he is.

I salute this great human being !!!!

Such a sad, sad news! Can't believe he's no more. Offering advice, chiding you with "What yaar..!", guiding you back onto the proper track.. he was a truly Distinguished human.
Only yesterday I was chatting with him late into the night about a Jeep chassis plate that I saw on a 4x4 forum, and today morning I see a message saying he's no more. Damn.
I had met him a few months ago. He said he was soon to retire and that he'll finally have time for all his cars. He said he would buy a Thar "on his own terms", modify it the way he wanted and roam around the country in it. Cruel that fate had to intervene.

RIP dear sir. You'll be sorely missed. :(

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

He was a person from whom I learned in a Mahindra session on how to be Auto Passionate. From then I only remember him for his fanatic absolute car enthusiasm.

The Auto Industry would really miss him. Very few enthusiasts like him exist today in the Auto Industry. #RIP Behram.

Condolences are with Cyrus.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

A shocking news to start the day! A great loss to the fraternity.

Have had the opportunity of my share of his knowledge on how to restore my CJ3A. Will do that as you suggested Behram whenever I get to do it.

Do create another beast for the gods up there.

My god give strength to Cyrus and his family.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

Sad to hear the passing away of Mr Dhabar.

I interacted with him when Thar LHD was brought first time to Bangalore Annual OTR. He was very humble man and did not only accept but also shared a few grey areas of Thar. Infact he had a list of countermeasure to make Thar best offroad after factory rollout.

I have followed Behram's guidance in the lighting thread and benefitted immensely in getting my CJ340 beam pattern to 98% factory setting.

Tbhpians in 4x4 section will never forget DB's passion to get any Jeep going again and ever ready to 'guide in totality' which he always did.

Regards
Andy

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

Such shocking and saddening news.

Though I came late to this board, I have read a lot of Sirs posts in the 4 x 4 sections. Just yesterday I was re-reading Samurai's account of an off road event (EXAMM/AKC - A Passenger's report), where the Thar was first introduced to the public -- driven by it's creator. I had it saved as a favorite, long back. And read it almost every month, to refresh the legacy and birth of the Thar.

Sir, you gave us an iconic 4 x 4 jeep, and your spirit will live forever in this World through the 4 x 4 Thar and its successive revisions. Someday, when I get this vehicle, each time, I crank that engine and the pistons ignite, I for sure, will remember you.

God Bless..! And Peace.

Re: R.I.P. Behram Dhabhar

OH MY GOD. I had spoken to him last year about something and he was so jovial and nice. He did not even know me but spoke to me at length, not to mention an integral part of team-bhp with his knowledge about Jeeps and offroaders.

RIP Sir.

RIP Behram Sir. I'll forever remember how he responded to my rant on Bolero "improvements". Automobile world just lost a passionate / knowledgeable / sensible person. :(
