I am happy with a 2 bhk, but if not available willing to pay for a 3 bhk as well. Which complexes/buildings would you suggest I ask brokers to show me ? I am looking for a new ( or recent) construction in a good residential neighbourhood. Thanks for your help but I dont have a clue about Bangalore localities so finding it difficult dealing with the addresses etc.
Mods - please move the thread if there is a more appropriate place it should be in.
Hey bro, you can look for places in Indiranagar as well. What kind of a budget do you have in mind? I suggest you check the places out with the broker, that should give you a good idea of the distances. You can then post here and we can give you more advice.

You can also look at places on and around the Old Airport road. You can also look at renting a flat in Diamond district there, that would be pretty much next door to EGL
You can even look at Koramangala, about 6-7 kms from EGL or areas in and around CV Raman Nagar too.
Hope this helps.

Thanks Sammyboy - appreciate the help. How long would it take for me to drive to EGL from CV raman nagar? Is kagadasapura or vibhutipura close to my office?
My budget is 20-25k. Would that be sufficient you think?

Many thanks.

stay away from kaggadasapura.. dusty, congested and water scarcity...

20-25k budget.. you will easily get a very good 3BHK in Indiranagar. Check it out.

Guys, what is the property price trend in Bangalore now? I am planning to buy an apartment (to stay and not exactly investment) in Bangalore east. Any idea about rate/sqft in places like Marathahalli, HSR and Sarjapur Road areas?

I recently bought an apartment at HM Symphony off Sarjapur Road. Do call me, and i shall give you more information on the same.

Are you looking at launched apartment projects, or ready-to-move-in kinds?

Yes girish i am from delhi. i have a office in bng. I had visited place and seen the property. Met the builder. The company is definer ventuers. They are in this business since 1997. Many banks including hdfc, icici, sbi, lic have approved this project. Planning to make it as a guest house.

Want a general opinion of location and builder.

Re: Bangalore residential properties

Any feedback on the "Confident" group - quite a prominent builder in Bangalore. They seem to have a choke-hold on the Sarjapur Road area from what one can see.

Has anyone on TBHP bought from them and/ or living in one of their projects.

Feedback and inputs would be welcome in ref to the following;
1. Potential as an investment and how fair are their rates overall
2. Turnaround time (promise vs delivery)
3. Quality of execution/ surroundings/ layout/ common area facilities.
4. Quality of construction/ interiors & materials used
5. Facilities and services (promise vs delivery)
6. Any eco-friendly initiatives such as rain water harvesting/ solar energy etc

I visited one of their budget apartment sites in Sarjapur Road. I liked everything and wanted to buy an apartment, but I didn't like the ones available. Confident group is a good builder and I had earlier visited one of their resorts on Bannerghatta road ( which is how i came to know of them ), which was very good. They claim that they operate completely on a zero debt basis meaning all their constructions are done without taking any loan. They were also offering lifetime membership of their resorts when you buy an apartment with them ( not sure what that means ) .

Shankar,
When I was hunting to buy an apartment last year,I had visited quite a few of their properties.
Here's my first hand observation.
Confident is a decent group(Mind you,not first class)
Quite a few of their projects were seriously behind schedule in 2008/2009.
They might be a zero debt company but they had some major issues with respect to the commitment made to the end customers.
My cousin works with a Construction Major and he did forewarn me when I had visited them back in 2009.
As far as other eco friendly aminities are concerned,I didnt find much information on that when I visited them.I eventually brought the one at Salarpuria.Pretty happy with my investment

Looks like a fantastic deal. In Goa a 1BHK will cost you that much.

Re: Bangalore residential properties

newpunter & hallik - thanks.
Would you by chance have some feedback or any info on their Villa and Township projects along Sarjapur Road?
Looks like they've got themselves a chokehold in that area!
