Re: Dealing with my daughter's Covid induced MIS-C

I’m sure your little one will be chirpy and active and normal in no time. It’s quite a painful experience to go through and I could feel the pain that you and your wife went through.

She’ll be fine and all our wishes and prayers for her full and speedy recovery.

Wishing your daughter a full fledged recovery. As a father to a 7 and 2 year old, I can understand, though remotely, what you would have gone through.

Re: Dealing with my daughter's Covid induced MIS-C

Thanks for sharing and wishing a fast and complete recovery for your daughter. This whole COVID-19 thing and associated phenomena has been very confusing overall. Some people move around as if nothing has happened despite carrying the virus and some people are hit hard. Hoping 2021 closes the COVID chapter.

With even Cinema halls opening up soon to higher capacity, I wonder how things will move from here...

Re: Dealing with my daughter's Covid induced MIS-C

Happy to see your daughter's recovery from MIS-C. Though the effect of COVID in children is comparatively less when compared to adults, the possibility of MIS-C is a real concern for the kids. We were warned by a pediatrician about MIS-C three to four months back and also saw reports in the newspaper.

The key message here is that we should not delay the pediatrics consultation in the case of fever for children and do close monitoring.

I am also monitoring my 2.5Y old son, who had COVID Antibodies when tested in October'20.

Re: Dealing with my daughter's Covid induced MIS-C

Sir,
Wishing your daughter the best of health in the days to come.
I wish to ask a certain query here since you mentioned trying to sleep inside your car. I would like to ask team bhp members on steps to be taken to comfortably sleep inside our car in case such a need arises. Hope my question does not violate group rules and is ok to ask in this thread. Any experienced bhpians out there who were forced to sleep in cars out there may provide some tips. Keeping the windows just slightly open to prevent suffocation, car in off condition and locked from inside due to security reasons are some of the points which I think would ensure a comfortable sleep.

It must have done wonders for your spirits to hear her demanding samosa.

Re: Dealing with my daughter's Covid induced MIS-C

Wish and Pray your daughter recovers fast and is able to carry on her normal life.

May God give you both the mental and physical strength to endure this.

No one seems to understand the dangerous effects of this virus and people are clamouring that every thing be open. I guess it's better all of us get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity

Your kid is a fighter, hope to hear abiut her recovery soon & good health. You should not guilt how you get the infection it just after such a long stint affecting the immune system you should take all the precautions let bygones be bygones. We just have to fight this virus & only who have seen the ill effects of it know how severe it can be. Stay safe.
