"dotted"

An update regarding rules - this might concern some of our older members.

We have recently introduced a new rule regarding "dotted" posts (eg. i drove a Ferrari...and a Lamborghini).

Please refer to point 12 here -> Global Announcement

LOL!!! Are we getting trained on some essay writing competition or what? This rule I think is damn frivolous. I dont use too many dots in my posts so Im excluded but this rule sounds pretty finicky to me. LOLzzz!!!

The rule is against excessive usage, not occasional usage. If the dotty stuff is below 10% of your post, it is allowed. But when it becomes an eyesore, the rule will apply. Mods will decide what is excessive.
In fact, I myself have the habit of using it... but I will make every effort to stay below 10%.

Pics Pics Pics ..

Someone said a picture is worth a thousand words. So I'd rather take this opportunity to present to you the era of events than bore you with my words .

It all began with this . The zeal to buy a baleno. The intent to mod it. The only reason I am here where I am today. Thanks akshay , JD , KD , farhan and sawan.

Dont remember a pic taken when we bought the car. Infact the first pic we took of the car should be this :

Car stuck in the sand at goa. It was fun getting it out.

Good old times. I miss that zen. Picture at karwar.

At a view point near Jog Falls.

Its time for some local photos now :

Nandi Hill's Drive. Another car I so dearly miss.

Enroute to chennai.

Home sweet home. Just wish.

Not many pics of the car on track but here is one from the strip.

This is how it feels to be on track.

Yes , its from a previous Nandi Hills drive. And thats memo's totalled baleno. All of us from my dad to classmates to friends to gf had found memories of that car. Its sad that the twin baleno's club doesn't exist anymore. I miss those days of parallel driving.

Since my earlier post on this thread was deleted because of a dotty issue, I would like to reiterate my appreciation to you, McLaren, for the quality of your posts on this thread, borne out of your inherent passion for your way of life.

You start this thread & the 150 km/litre thread at roughly the same time.

I like your twin-pronged approach. As the Aussies say, "good on yer, mate!"

No , if you see keshav is growing old. He imagines most things that don't exist due to excessive work load. What I was talking about was an instance where I took my GF out for a drive on her birthday when my car was parked at the garage. And many more such drive's, those days we went out for lunch in mohnish's car. But, I must admit that my dad had the most found memory on this car when he by accident ended up filling diesel instead of petrol. Realized this within a KM of driving, diagnozed what had gone wrong(until then he was not aware what the pump attendant had filled) and we ran to his rescue. Needless to say, the attendant had mistakenly filled diesel while my dad had instructed 500 bucks of petrol and walked away to attend a very important business call he couldn't reject.

Nahi rey. I had started the FE thread a while back. Then was so jobless that I sat and wrote this one JLT.

I would also like to thank all those guys who have directly or indirectly helped me with my build so far. Steeroid, a special thanks for you know what. Scan for the timely help. And most importantly Vasu Anna and the boys at the garage for having worked on our cars relentlessly to make them what they are today. Thanks a ton boys. All of you those I might have missed out on mentioning here too.
