Family crowd mostly. You can order in car too if you want. Food is good if you are a non-vegetarian. Veg fare is also nice, but then at Dhabas you cant expect them to cook seperately.
The best thing is the tea.Tell him to put cardamom(Elaichi) and Ginger in it.
They used to have good Aloo Matar and Mushroom mutter. But that was 2 years ago, long time since I been in BLR

Yes, that place has a serious collection of modded roads.
Anyways Lavelle road is still a one way from the Mg road, right? Just before you hit the Cafe Coffee day there is a resturant to your right on the first floor. Its chinese, but I think they serve Indian too. Really nice food, and balcony is a nice place to sit.
I forgot the name, can anyone enlighten?
When I was in BLR the LAvelle road CCD or the Java city on Church street used to be the favorite hangouts.

Some more options :
  • Nyx on Residency Road (where the Black Cadillac used to be) is a new hot (read sizzling) place to be in. Has resto-pub-lounge-dance floor-bedbar ..... you ask it ..... Great food, excellent hospitality, good music on the dance floor. @ Rs. 1000 / head
  • Olive Beach on Wood Street is another place you would like to take your date. Good food, excellent selection of wine, wonderful ambience (helps get the compliment of the selection of place from your date) and pretty decent service. @ Rs. 1200 - 1500 / head
  • Kairali for nearest authentic mallu food. Opposite Forum (dairy circle side) in the lane next to the Ghousia Polytecnic enterance. Excellent Karimeen / Neimeen pollichathu. @ Rs. 150 - 250 / head
  • For all the Momo lovers (like my wife who can have them for breakfast, lunch and dinner) there's "Taste of Tibet" next to the Guzzler's Inn on the second floor of the Indo-Dubai plaza on the Rest House road (perpendicular to the brigade road). @ Rs. 75-100 / head
  • Another place I would like to try our is "Tamrind Tree" on the Kanakpura Raod, behind the Khoday's Brewery, but is not open all-round. It is based on bulk bookings. Supposed to have excellent Indian and Italian options and an outstanding ambience.
Anyone aware of the whereabouts of this place called Club-X, somewhere in the outskirts which is (as heard from someone) open past the B'lore curfew timings.

I will try digging some more info from wifey (who is a major foodie). Until then.

Nope, Rice bowl in in basement, This is on first floor.

By the way another place I recommend is the Shreeraj Lassi Bar near Forum in Kormangla. Its on the same road as which goes in towards the residential area from the corner coffee day.
Amazing dry fruit shake.
If somebody can somehow parcel me dry fruit shake it will be great. Too bad it will get spoilt overnight.

Check out the Park plaza chain of hotels. I used to be called Opium and was opposite the Diamond district. Now they have changed names I suppose.
Other option is the Guzzlers in. Great music too after the race

Slightly OT
When i visited Bangalore for a few days, i had a chance visited a Golgappas (paani puris) stand which was near Wipro office in Kormangala Road.
To my surprise, they stuffed the Golgappas with raw onions and served with Aloo matar subzi.
Now is it the same across Bangy? Are the Pani puris served like that only there?

DCEite you should go to a marwari resturant to eat authentic gol guppas. Go to central bangalore nar Lal Bagh etc., to get good stuff.
On brigade road there is a Bengali shop opposite that lousy theater with no legroom(the theater).
