A report without even a single picture??? Besides the review says "With 5 fully grown adults in the car, it pulled nicely" Sure... with a 623cc 32 bhp engine?
To me its a cheap marketing ploy nothing less nothing more.
Freind ,
You seems to very right on this .

I was just trying to say that this site is doing fine as such BUT offcourse they are prone to do such tricks to increase Clicks

Interesting use of grammar, makes the report hilarious entertainment.

He can’t believe his ears.
He and his team driven the car.
Its incredible! but believe it, they driven the world’s most expected small car.
vicky.in readers gets the experience first before anyone in the world.

Cost cutting can be in the DNA but it should not be very apparent.
...when he caught the glimpse of Tata Nano’s after so much nig-nag with the fellow press persons at the Delhi Auto expo. He was spellbound.
...Ultra short overhang not only brings the Nano a upmarket look but also improved its safety.
Nobody wants a car that is less than everybody else’s car.

Let’s check out how this low cost performs on the road.

The tall boy design and the rear engined layout are bane of the handling characteristics of the car. Nano combines the both
so we cannot expect incredible in its handling.
But honestly telling you Nano surpised us, before we tell you the Nano’s on road performance i wish to share the engineering gone into the car to offset the tail- heavy effect.

Since the engine, clutch and final drive is located at the rear, the rear axle weighs more than the front. This weight has to be compensated and Porsche did this using advanced electronics and suspension systems. Tata cannot mirror Porsche technologies for Nano the same due to the 1 lakh constraint.

I'd say its much too early for us to pass a judgement on the authenticity of this report. When Steer released an early picture of the 1 lac car, I am sure it was unbelievable to many too. Some points of Vicki's Nano review do fall in place with what you would expect of the car.

I'll sit on the fence, but will say that the balance is in favour of vicki.in.

Someone has posted a review - for however short a ride he may have had. Whats so incredulous about it? Why are we so bothered about its authenticity? Do we have any concrete reasons to believe the review is fictitious?

Discuss the car, guys - not the integrity of the writer.

Its not very hard to believe that some suppliers for the Nano project got a chance to have a short spin in the Nano on Tata's in plant test track.

However, the report does seem to be a little amatuerish.

Couldn't agree with steeroid more. This has been a hugely expected car. When it was launched, we did go gaga over it. So, if one of us had got a chance for a clandestine drive, we would have grabbed it.

I have no difficulty in imagining these five people also reacted like one of us. Its an interesting car. We can continue discussing it.

When I test drove the Petra, no one questioned me (its almost as rare as the Nano ).

I think vicki.in is a genuine site, so i'll sit on the fence too, till more comprehensive reviews are availabale.

agree with Steer, prabhu, etc etc; people who support the car like vicky.in
why are we fighting about the authencity of the writer, just read the info and gather it.
if someone were to offer u a drive tomm in a nano, wud u not jump the fence?
i am sure many people would pass comments and say its a marketing ploy, a gimmick etc etc, but u are still sure that u drove the car right
same case here?
why worry about anything, just take the information..
clean and simple.

I guess we would not e asking so many question if the writer of this review created an account for himself over here and posted his review on TBHP. We would be going ga ga over it and patting ourselves on the back, saying "It was first on TBHP".As Steeroid has put it, lets discuss the car guys. Lets leave the writer alone. If it is indeed ficticious, then the writer is surely a very brave guy.Cheers,Rajan

Even if its authentic, its WAY too global and vague (lke many rags' reports) for it to be anything useful for a purchase decision. All it does is stoke the curiosity and drive traffic to vicky.in
