the bull guard is kept there strictly for utilitarian purpose. not at all for looks. kerela is a place where you need such bull guards (because of the roads & driving manners there).

i can readily appreciate this is a zillion times more comfy than the older gen M&M 4WD vehicles - its just that those were more basic in nature (also an advantage because of less electronics to go wrong with them!)
But you are right - as one grows older and more rotund, these newer 4x4 vehicles certainly cosset and comfort one a lot more than the old ones did!

ofcourse it does! If you notice, cars with bull-bars tend to be driven faster and more aggressively than those without!
