The user manual & the CD hardly provide any info on the code change process.

Upreti, it's not just a single code change process that is relevant.
As you can see there are many user adjustable settings and you might want to activate some for a particular trip.
eg. On one of our trips, we realized early that we'd forgotten to carry the duplicate keys+remote. I de-activated the automatic arming feature for those few days, to preclude the possibility of locking ourselves out! Of course the user guide was with me in the car. You cannot remember any of those procedures!

Hi Anup, Thats useful info. I had this manual with my Crde but not with mHawk.

Raj, the first setting by the M&M need to be done to activate the system(which I think is called as company set)and then we can personalize the same!!

Hi, you are right, I checked with my Dealer also, they said, there is no separate manual given for cars where the Security System is factory fitted.

The user manual & the CD hardly provide any info on the code change process.

but why is not mahindra not providing the manual with the mHAWK when it is being provided with the CRDe.

i guess these features as indicated in the manual will work for the mHawk as well but i am not willing to try it out! maybe i will go for the ignition auto lock setup, 20 seconds is more than enough.

Hi Anup,

You are right.

I had to go to the dealer to have the auto re-arm and impact sensor setting done.

I have put a mail to Mahindra customer care to provide me with the Manual.

Hi,

I am sure the Nippon manual not being provided offlate is more a miss than anything else. I am also trying to procure it for my scorp.
I do agree that having it handy in the car is very useful like Anupji said!!:)

Hi, I have got a complaint docket number on my mobile from M&M but no response to the mail till now. Will speak to the call center & see if anything is being done.

I too faced this issue recently with my MHawk.

I trip to the dealer the next day got me the manual and spared me more trips to the A.S.S .

The manual has everything in it, and I programmed the AUTO-LOCK feature using it.

if you want, I can mail u a photocopy of the manual, or i'll try and scan it.

lemme know

welcome to the scorpio thread buddy!

do post pics and ownership experience soon.

My dealer called me yesterday to inform that the Nippon Manual has arrived from M&M, I need to go and pick it up, will do it next week as I am off to Nainital for the extended weekend.

But again the question remains, if the manuals are available why are they not being handed over along with the car.

Anyways, One thing I can reiterate, the resolutions from Mahindra are prompt clap: .

Subject: User Manual - Nippon Security System
Importance: High

Dear All,

I have a Scorpio VLX (details given below)

The user manual for the Nippon Security System has not been provided with the car.

I checked with the Dealer M/s G3 Motors Navi Mumbai, they informed me that the user manual is not being provided with the cars where the security system is factory fitted.

The Scorpio user manual provided with the car does not provide any details on the features , settings & options of the security system.

In the absence of the Manual I am unable to know all the features of the system.

For activating even the small features I need to visit the Dealership which is highly inconvenient.

Request you to arrange to provide me with the User Manual of the security system installed in my car.

Model: Scorpio VLX
Serial No.:
Chassis No.:
Engine No.:
Date of Purchase:
Registration:

Regards,
