I guess if you were knowing then you would not have started posting on this thread regarding the Xylo,

This is a open forum and we need to see to that the thread is not going out of topic.

Please stick to the thread and do not post other than the required, i think you can understand.

Gowda: I never asked them to write about Xylo on this thread (it was of course about writing on the Xylo thread). Did I? :)
Come on pal...Do you think I (being with TBHP for almost 2 years) would not stick to the rules? Relax maadi!

Cheers, :)
Deepak

GOOD NEWS guys, our tire baghwan ishaan(iraghava) who attended the "North regional launch of the XYLO" was told by the top honchos of Marketing that the 4x4 2.2 mHawk scorpio should be out in the market in about 3 months or so.clap:

They told Tanveer the same kind of thing back in March 2008 or so, that the 4WD would be in the market by July 2008!

no guarantee! just heard that its under development.

according to the car launch thread for 2009 scorpio itseams is due for a face lift.

How much more make up can this face take?? My view is that they should bring out an all new scorpio!! And if they do that like what they did Xylo, then I am better off with my 2008 mHawklol:

Noooo "Face lift" :D, the menecing, butch looks of this car are great, what it requires a makeover of its backside.

One question, has any one in the forum done any mods to change the rear looks (apart from adding the tyre on the back door)

you mean *** lift lol!!
personally i like the rear end the way it is.. maybe a bit bulky but not horrifyingly ugly.
another extremely noobie question :)
why does the cap exactly in the center of the alloys protrude outside but cars like innova etc have alloys which are similar to the ones in sedans..
ive seen few of these caps broken in some scorpios there's a small blackish thingy does the drive shaft go through it?
only older vehicles have this type of design ive noticed the pajero, safari and scorpio.
Im just curious thats all.

just hardcore SUV style, thats it! all the real mean off roaders used to have such wheels.

FYI, mahindra has discontinued the protruding wheels on the scorpio now.

Thats a good one.. the rear is not ugly but bland.

I remember my father used to have a government issue hard top jeep back in the early 80's , not with the usual white Roplas fibre glass shell but a metal body which made it look like a tin box (the spare wheel used to ride on the roof carrier), I will rummage through some real old photographs and see if I can post it here. Till then a caricature would give an idea.

doesn't this limit the choice in external alloys i mean lesser choice in market, and more thing you cant put an endys alloys on a scorpio right? i know this question is totally irrelevant to this topic...

not at all, you can choose any from the market, even the ones which does not have a protruding cup in the centre. basically, the cup is just empty inside and strictly to enhance looks.

...except on the 4WD where most of the front cup is filled up with the auto hubs! :)
