Re: The "Jobs available in my organisation" thread

Slightly OT, but this is where I turn for suggestions from experts. Presently the question in my mind is:
Is there a scope for PMO in IT?? I'm done with my Prince2 certification & at present getting an opportunity as PMO. Should I take it or wait for Project Manager / Program Manager role altogether??
Little background: Total 9 years of hardcore Network & Telecom domain experience Out of which last 3 years were in 40% project management.
Will PMO experience will benefit me?? or should I let go of this PMO offer?
Looking forward to expert comments who can guide me.
Regards.

Re: The "Jobs available in my organisation" thread

I am looking for a L2 engineer who has good communication skills and is a go-getter. If anyone with 3-4 years of experience of L2 support in Infrastructure space is looking for an opportunity in Hyderabad please PM me.

The person should have experience of monitoring using tools like Splunk and Introscope etc. Scripting experience in Perl/Python is highly desirable. And if the person has experience in webMethods and/or DataPower then its a very big plus.

Please PM me if you or anyone you know fits the bill and is looking for a good opportunity in Hyderabad with one of the top MNCs and a Fortune-30 company in the world.

Automotive R&D Jobs available

Slightly different from the other IT jobs but this may interest some of you. I have two openings in my group. The position is located in US and the requirement is immediate so L1 transfer is not possible.
We are looking for people with background in Computer Vision, ADAS and Augmented Reality. You get to work on projects with some of the biggest names in automotive and also have access to few R&D cars including a "Maserati" along with a test track.

Qualifications:
PhD/Masters Degree required in Electrical Engineering/Computer Science with 5+yrs experience in the following areas:
  • Signal Processing, Computer Vision or Image Processing
  • Multiple ADAS technologies, e.g., LDW (lane departure warning), ACC (adaptive cruise control), TSR (traffic sign recognition), AEB (automatic emergency braking), driver monitoring, cameras / vision systems, RADAR, LIDAR, sensor fusion based techniques, V2V (vehicle to vehicle communication), V2I (vehicle to infrastructure communication), etc..
  • Signal processing algorithms relevant to computer vision based use cases
  • Developing and launching control systems with embedded software
  • C / C++ programming skills with experience in real-time multithreaded system software development
  • Debugging techniques and tools

Re: The "Jobs available in my organisation" thread

Am looking for an opening for a fresher - Aerospace Engineering Masters from Dayton Ohio. Location preferences, anywhere in India.

This is my nephew I am talking about, and he would prefer to get into the design or testing areas rather than aircraft maintenance kind of jobs.

If anyone has any non-HR contacts in companies like GE or Goodrich whom my nephew can talk to, that would also be very helpful.

Thanks and cheers

Re: The "Jobs available in my organisation" thread

A friend of mine(M-Tech in Maths and computing from IIT), is looking for a data analyst job in Chandigarh/Mohali area. He wants a "mathematical" and more "statistics" oriented job as opposed to the standard thing.

Fresher, but basics and knowledge of stuff like Matlab and all is required. Noida/Gurgaon has a lot of companies, but he is specifically looking at Chandigarh area as first preference.

Any leads?

Tata Consulting Engineers is on a hiring spree, particularly engineers with 3-8 years experience. Check the website.

That would be touch. Most jobs in this area would be in Mumbai/Pune/Bangalore.

Finance and Data Analytics industries are hiring freshers for these skillsets and these three cities are largest centers.

He can look for keywords "Quants" and "Strats"

Would be tough to get Business Analyst role as a fresher. A possible career path is:

1. Join QA team
2. Stick to a specific Industry within IT (E.g. : Manufacturing / Medical / Corporate Finance / IB / Banking /...)
3. Build domain knowledge and then do a lateral move to Business Analyst

This usually takes 2 - 3 years.

For client's point of view, what value can you add as business analyst just out of collage? Billing rate of BA is much higher then a junior developer. Search for billing rates and salaries of these profiles.
