Hi All,
Post my previous post & re-assuring reply from 'Simple Car', I continued with my situation with patience. However, though now my liver has returned back to normal size (which was increased by 2.3 cm approx at one side), & ascites fluid reduced to minimal, I underwent tests again. Abdominal sonography suggests everything nomal. Bilirubin around 1.3. My gastro has now reduced my medicine to 1 tablet of NUSAM 200 per day & didnt bothered to answer any of my queries or concerns which I asked him for my condition.
But, still I feel very uncomfotable at my stomach. If I sit for some time & get up, I cant stand straight for atleast 10 sec. If try to stand straight, my stomach muscles pull hard. While sleeping, I feel tired & also when I get up I don't feel fresh. I have lost a lot of weight. I was 76 KG & now I'm 56 KG. If the tests show everything normal, Liver function tests are normal, then why I'm experiencing this discomfort.
This weekend, I'm planning to take consultation of Homeopathy Doc as suggested by Condor. I guess, this will be my only good option as I don't know still that whether ascites will be cured at all.
Please suggest your opinion as well.

Worldwide, people are hardly keen on visits to the dentist, but that seems to be especially the case in this country, with people putting it off until they not only have a problem, but the problem has become serious.

That's not a good idea for us, and it is a spectacularly bad idea for the children.

Hi Guys, I have a problem with my jaw, I hear clicking sounds when I move my lower jaw and also sometimes early morning when I yawn my jaw "locks up" sending a mild pain on the right side of my jaw just near the ear lobe. So is this something serious and does require any surgical procedure or can be done off with medicines? Also who do I approach,a dentist or a orthopedic doctor about the same?

It seems you have TMJ (temporomandibular joint) dysfunction. Approach your orthopaedics doc. Treatment depends on the severity. Intervention, especially intraarticular injections may be necessary.

I'd a very bad blocked nose (no running nose and cold) for almost 8 days and when sleeping at night became impossible I decided to consult a doctor. He prescribed Medrol 8mg and Rabicip 20mg. After which it was ok until I was exposed to dust and all when I shifted my house. So again I'm in the same position. I would like to know if taking the same Medrol is ok or not. Googled and saw that it for producing a steroid which the body produces to aid anti-inflamation. Can any doctor help me with the side effects if I go for the same course. Unfortunately I'm in a position not to meet the doctor until Saturday.

I too had the same situation an year back and equally concerned as you. It was just because of the cold climate. Try to keep your head warm using some monkey cap or so at night. For me it was there for some 4 weeks and it just disappeared. Having said that, depending on your level of pain I would suggest you to consult a doctor to be on a safe side. Yes of course go to a dependable experienced doctor and not a money making machine who might force you with unnecessary medication. Recently I'd a very bad experience for a normal sore throat. I did not realize that until he said "this is a bit expensive medicine and available only at a medical shop near his home"

Consult another doctor.
In the meantime try inhaling steam through your nose 2-3 times daily.
Also, you can use a topical decongestant like Otrivin/nasivion before you go to bed. But DO NOT use these nasal drops regularly for more than 7 days at a stretch. If you really have nasal allergy the better solution is to use inhaled steroids rather than systemic steroid (like your doctor prescribed).

Steam scalds. It burns. Last thing you want inside your head.

If you are using something like a boiling pan to generate the steam, stay well away from the source. I've seen people hold a boiling electric kettle close to a baby's face. Terrifying!

This is the way I was taught to inhale "steam" safely. Pour boiling water into a bowl, let it cool a little, and then hold your head over it under a towel and breathe. Now there are steam inhaler machines, but still, keep your distance.

Please excuse my reaction, which might seem a little extreme, but some people have not done steam inhalation before, do not know about the dangers, will stick their nose in there and breathe deeply, potentially doing serious damage.

I use this on both my kids when they have stuffy noses. Either with medicine prescribed by pediatricians or saline. These machines cost around 1200 and upwards.

Obviously this is the method!! I thought the OP will be mature enough to understand the potential risk .

I'm inhaling steam from childhood. Earlier my father used to put a blob of Vicks vaporub on the hot water and let me inhale the steam with Vicks vapors.
Now-a-days "Karvol Plus capsules are available. Just cut a capsule and drop it on the hot water and inhale.
What I do is boil the water and pour it in a plastic bowl, cover the face and head with towel and inhale.
But plain steam is also very effective.

No. Nebulizer is different. They produce water mist by driving compressed air through the saline water and medicine. Plain cold saline water is not of much help. See these:

I'd avoid the steam inhaler machines (electrical) available in the market. They all are made of cheap plastic and smells horridly of it when you water is boiled in it. I discarded two (including one by Dr. Morepen) because of the plastic smell.
But be very very careful with childrens because they have very delicate skins.

Yes, I mean the cheapo one. My wife and I use them with no problems, except that they break down after some time. Because they are cheap.

archat68, yes, sorry about that, but I've seen a few people to whom it was not obvious that you don't inhale steam from a kettle, including the scary baby scene. Even I inhaled steam from a bowl that was too hot once. Hence the shout.

Done properly and safely, steam inhalation is wonderful.

@sajusherief- Firstly, steroids should not be stopped suddenly but gradually tapered off due to side effects
Secondly, kindly consult a ENT specialist for your blocked nose.I personally feel that steroid should not have been prescribed required in your case as antihistamine should have sufficed.
