I prefer mornings. Your body is full of energy in the morning so u are able to put more into training ur muscles. As the day progresses, you get more tired.

Iam not a body building freak, but I do not think that muscle will not build, if dosage was given during afternoon.

One reason might be that you will get worn out quickly compared to the evening or morning sessions. There are dieting structure that needs to be followed before we do exercise, if this was followed that's well and good.

My 2 cents: It is more important that we mix the work out with breathing exercise & cut down the pace in which we are executing (meaning we need to do the exercise very slowly and stedily), which will play an important role in building up the muscle. Other very very important aspect is taking the necessary protein intake.

Much of the exercise advice you hear in locker rooms is sound, but some is bogus -- or downright dangerous

Myth: Early morning is the best time to exercise.

Fact: "The best time to exercise is anytime you can do it," says Delia Hammock, M.S., R.D., and Nutrition Director at the Good Housekeeping Institute. So whether you have more energy in the morning or at night, the important thing is that you motivate yourself to do it! Read more.....

Actually, I read somewhere (do not remember where) that the best time to workout is late morning or early evening. That is when your body's energy level peaks (for most people). That's what I read....

Here comes one more myth...

Nope, you can do it anytime. Morning time is more convinient since you can be done with it early. In the absence of morning exercise most people would spend it on the bed dozing. It is very difficult to find time once the day begins.

There just cannot be a fixed time since diff people have diff habits and working hours. U can't expect a person doin a night shift at a call center to come back in the morning and take off to the nearest gym. He'll just have to wait until he gets recharged and then carry on with it.

There is no specific time for exercise. The best time for exercise is when you feel best doing it. It doesn't matter if you do it in the morning, afternoon or evening if you don't feel like doing it. I personally feel better doing it between 1600 - 1900 HRS, thats the time "I" feel very energetic.

Most people I know select a time on the basis of the following points:
  • when they feel more energetic
  • based on office timings
  • diet schedule
  • when the gym will be less crowded

I do it according to my diet schedule and when I feel more energetic. And co-incidence is that my gym is rarely crowded between 1600-1900 HRS.

Dont lift weights.Swimming,Jogging or Running is the best remedy.I do make it a point to walk or run for atleast 6kms a day.It really charges me up,ofcourse with the help of red bull.
