Watched Birds of Prey last week , and for whatever this is worth, I really enjoyed it.
R Rating is the perfect fit for Harley Quinn.
First off Birds of Prey is miles better than Suicide Squad and every other DC film except Joker. It's a Fun movie with lots of ultraviolent humor, a refreshing female-gaze approach, and a cast that's clearly having the time of their lives.
To say that the film takes liberties with the source material would be an understatement, it features some jarring tonal shifts, and I really could have done without the filmmakers portraying Black Mask and Victor Zsasz as murderqueerz (an especially odd choice given that Harley herself is explicitly, though briefly, cited as bi in the prologue). Beyond those factors, the film was entertaining.
If for no reason other than to piss off the incel crowd that wants desperately for this film to fail, I recommend a trip to the theatre to see Birds of Prey.
I for one would love to see Margot Robbie being part of more standalone movies as Harley Quinn.
DC have set the bars really high for their upcoming projects.
PS - Stick around till the end of the movie for a surprise.

5/5.
Watched Parasite.
Its a fairly well made movie. The script, screenplay & acting have all come together well. The story played out well to convey the message. Overall IMO "time not wasted", that is to say it is an average good watch, yet it isn't all that great a movie as was being hyped.
3.5/5
Watched The Foreigner
While the premise might sound as a revenge drama, its actually an intense political thriller. Never seen Jackie Chan so subdued in a character and Pierce Brosnan steals the show as an reformed ex IRA with that Irish accent.
Availaible on Netflix
4.5/5

I agree. Caught this movie on a flight. I felt it was well made but wondered what the hype was about
Watched Parasite yesterday. I don't get the hype. It was an OK movie.
2/5
Cant agree more , even I felt the same after the movie. I loved "1917" much more.

Watched backtoback movies after a long time on Sunday.
Heat (1995)
Stars: Al Pacino, Robert De Niro, Val Kilmer
A very long movie (2h:50mins) but very well acted by all. Some glorious shootouts are very well executed.
This reminded me of our own Dilipkumar-Rajkumar kind of movie :)
Rating: 4/5

Prisoners (2013)
Stars: Hugh Jackman, Jake Gyllenhaal, Viola Davis
Good suspense but dragged a bit too much. Unexpected ending.
Rating: 3.5/5

Remember watching this one. God, it was gut wrenching to go through it at times.
3.5/5 sounds about right for this one.
Birds of Prey : 1 / 5
I seriously don't know why DC movies go for the extreme; this is one movie I had high expectations after the absolute gem of a movie, Joker and was thoroughly disappointed.
Feels like a childish make with the actors being asked to do whatever they wanted to do; running around here and there with hardly any connect to the larger DC universe (not a single character except the name-dropping of Batman and Joker a few times). The villain seems toothless and so does Harley Quinn and her fellow-helpers.
Give it a miss - by a mile! And to think I spent a fortune watching a 4DX theater run of this movie!
Parasite: 4 / 5
Brilliant movie - I wish I had been able to see this before the Oscars came out; it would have felt more enjoyable with my expectations being much lower. But definitely worth all the buzz!

Really? Wow - we fall at the extreme ends! :)
Anyone saw The Invisible Man? What's the verdict.
Planning to see it in couple of days.

The Invisible Man: 4/5
I caught the first day first show that played to an empty hall (there were 5 people including me and my friend). I hadn't known about the movie coming out, and I went for it because the only other alternative playing at that time was some Hindi film called Bhoot. I was pleasantly surprised, and the movie turned out to be quite good. I haven't read the story by H.G. Wells so I cannot comment on how good the adaptation was, but the movie in itself was pretty good. I would definitely recommend it!
PS: Never buy a large tub of caramel popcorn at PVR. You won't be able to finish it, and if you do, you'll feel really sick :uncontrol
Parasite - Extremely enjoyable movie. Well made. But not a great movie. I do not consider it a great movie since there is nothing inspiring in it. Watch it for the entertainment value.
Rating: 4/5 (0.5 less since I feel the director could have done better explaining why the characters do what they do in some scenes).
Chanced upon "Driven" on Netflix and I will say, it's worth a watch for anyone who is into cars, or has followed John DeLorean. Shows how DeLorean got entangled in the drug bust that speed-killed his car company (but it was anyways going to die thanks to the lousy car he built).
Giving it a 3.5 / 5 rating. Extra 0.5 for Lee Pace who has perfectly played the role of the incredibly stylish & suave DeLorean.

Watched "The Circle" recently and despite its all-star cast and highly relatable theme, somehow left me cold.
Emma Watson's American accent is not bad at all, but Tom Hanks seems wasted in his role that seems to be a hybrid of Mark Zuckerberg and Elon Musk. There are way too many characters that are left hanging and too many unanswered questions at the end.
I liked the dystopian zero-privacy picture painted in the movie but somewhere along it lost steam. 3/5
As plan for watching The Invisible Man got cancelled due to Corona virus scare and avoiding public places with too many people for now so decided to watch Knives Out instead.
Fantastic movie. Not a single dull scene. Daniel Craig with his weird accent was a joy to watch. I love mystery movies and this one inspite of dropping who did it at the start itself manages to hold your attention till the end. Will rate this - 8/10
