Sounded familiar. Mad as Hell...was it Walther Matthau?

fairly easy ones :

1. "I love the rain - it washes memories off the sidewalk of life "

2. "death should not be seen as the end , but as a very effective way to cut down expenses "

You're a Walter Matthau fan too? I just love the old movies with Walter Matthau & Jack Lemmon. And Odd Couple was indeed one of the best! Best Buddy movies of all time! I didn't know there was an Odd Couple 2.

I've heard the song you've posted, but can't make out which one, or whose it is :(

Can't ID any of the quotes now. Getting rusty upstairs.

.
hydrashok: Yeah...totally cuckoo. Also love Stanley Holloway: My fair lady. Please tell me you've watched The Marx Bros. People look at me strangely when I mention the name...and I then know the generation gap.

New one:

"Yes, I've been broken hearted
Blue since the day we parted
Why, why did I ever let you go?..."

Now, one Hindi film dialogue

Character 1: Doodh ka jala chhaanch ko bhi phook kar peeta hai
Hero: Afsos ki log doodh se bhi jal jaate hain

Answers anyone?

Hint: The movie took six long years to make and was released in 1971

Marx Bros zaniness is an acquired taste, I suppose.

w 12: Very familiar. Billy Joel? Or Lobo? Tune comes to me around 'sun, moon, word, tune...' but I can't place it.
