If you only want automatic divers in the same price range as that of the SKX007 then you also have its sibling the SKX009. The Japan models for the same will be pricier. In fact you can take a look at various SKX models here.

Apart from the Seiko you also have the Orient Ray and the Orient Mako divers as well, but I guess the lume on the Seiko and Ray are of a better quality than the Mako (based on internet reviews).

The SKX007 is one of the most popular Seiko diver. Great value for money. You can source it in India, from Creationwatches (depends if they have it in stock, usually they do), but you may be charged duty which will ruin the price point. Best to get it in the US, and carry it over. You can also look at the Seiko SKA369P1 (Kinetic), but you have to wear this quite often to keep it charged.

SKX007/009 is good except the band. If possible to get a good deal buy Seiko Orange/Black monster.

I have SKX009 and Orange Monster, and monster is my favorite.

I think you can get the SKX007 in a solid steel jubilee bracelet too. It is quite good with the diving suit extension clasp in-built...!

Wow..those Vostok watches are such iconic divers. Quite a unique chapter with the date at 6 O' Clock..! Does it manual wind also..?

Yes. It's an automatic but you can wind it manually after unscrewing the crown. Setting the date is a massive pain though. The stalk is very fiddly and so the only way to run it is to manually move the hands to the correct date.

I had picked up a Seiko 5 Automatic from CreationWatches.com. Cost me about 6.2k about 4 years ago. Watch came with the Seiko box. It's my daily wear, and has been absolutely fine.

If you are traveling to US, then you could order from this site and have it delivered to any one in US.

I believe that's the FitBit digital watch, his other analog watch is the Jorg Gray 6500. Seinfeld on the other hand wears a simple near-ancient Breitling Navitimer. If you ask how I know, I knew about Jerry Seinfeld's watch since long (he wore it on his show), as for Obama I read about it in an article.

And thanks, that's one of the better episodes of CiCgC, restrained yet entertaining.

This combination of brands in your collection is indeed unique, not to mention a not so small fortune :p Which Longines is that? And why have they copied a Luminor style protector on it? I see a couple of independents (Breitling/Rolex) and the rest from the Swatch group (apart from B&M), any reason why there are none of the big leaguers from Richemont yet? Great possessions as they stand nonetheless. Breguet & BP are rare finds and top notch quality in horologie.

Yes I agree that A Lange und Sohne, JLC and maybe VC or Patek will be perfect additions to the current collection. Richemont have some terrific watches in the high to ultra high end league.

My first really nice watch was the Breitling Special edition Navitimer to memorate the 50th anniversary of the Navitimer. It is still my favorite watch, although I have got some more since.

I just came across this nice video on Breitling. Enjoy

And I came across the video on my Navitimer SE

That's the fitbit surge HR fitness tracker.

Interesting to see him wear it. It has an inbuilt GPS tracker inside. Not really a great watch but a cool fitness tracker.

So it is a fitness tracker? Oh well, then I have no interest.

It was my first watch ever, bought in 1981. But that one broke and foolishly I lost it. So I replaced it last year with the new wave of HMT's.:)

Thank you, Shankar. It is a joy to see the set every morning. I also have the three Sonas - White,Black, Yellow(Small) - and the Kohinoors including the blue one. :)
