Old watch enthusiasts.
I just indulged in an old Omega Pocket Watch with chain.
Mechanical Winder.
Stainless Steel. Around 100 years old.
Original.

Ah - just noticed this post. Never thought people in India were interested in those things any more.

Sharing a pic of a 1911 Rotherham & Sons 18k gold half hunter, that I'd inherited from my great grandfather on my mother's side. It has an interesting provenance that is documented, in that it was gifted to him by the then-Nawab of Murshidabad.

And then there's an open face Allisson 0,800 silver chronograph pocket watch. The dial and some of the functions were damaged a long time ago, but still keeps time accurately.

1911 would make it as old as the Titanic. And older than the First World War.

Terrific. Terrific.

On similar lines, my maternal grandfathers Longines from the first half of the 'Sixties still continues to tick over. Still keeps good time.

My paternal grandfather used to have a very fine Patek Philippe once upon a time.

Sigh. Those were the days. :)

Some awesome looking watches, specially the pocket ones.

Considering we have a full fledged thread on watches here, was wondering if some of the members here are also at WUS forum?

While we get to see all the branded watches here in this thread, it's time for a Team-BHP Wrist Watch !! We have got these made for our upcoming TEAM-BHP Winter Meet of our Kolkata Chapter

My list of watches goes too short,

1. HMT - Tareeq - 1994 model.
2. Seiko - 5 series - 1998 model.
3. Casio - A 837 - 2013 model.
4. Timex - RN 08 - 2006 model.
5. Police - PL13678 - 2015 model.

And a couple of Titans, Citizens, Sonatas and one Boleno.

Thanks for your suggestions guys, got myself a Seiko SKX 009. My other watches are:
Esprit
Fossil
Casio Edifice

Out of my collection of Watches, these are some of my favorite watches.
The Omega Seamaster is the Limited edition Tribute to '50 years of James Bond' in movies.

Wow what a nice collection.

Love the seamaster and dreaming to buy one. Thanks for sharing.

Very nice. What year and model is the Navitimer?
Jeroen

Damn that 007 on the seconds hand looks tacky. Glad at least it isn't on the one that pierce brosnan is wearing.

Edit: surprisingly even the omega website doesn't show it. Picture attached:

Yes Rohan, the 007 is not there on JB's watch in any of the movies. This one with the 007 is a limited edition I believe and only a few were manufactured with 007 on the needle.
Attaching a more clear picture.

I am sorry for nitpicking but the more i look at it, the more i find variations against the watch in question. The picture i have posted above is from the official Omega website. The date frame isn't the same as the original. The case for the crown has a more pronounced v in the original than the picture you posted. I have my doubts of this being an original. If you don't mind, could you post a picture of the back of case? This has a beautifully unique design.

I am at work site now and watch is not with me. I shall post it once I get home. Thanks for pointing out. But I bought it from a genuine watch showroom holding other major brands like Rolex, Cartier, Mont Blanc etc.
I will take it up with them.

^ That Cartier watch is TERRIFIC!

Comme c’est beau.

Guys,

I recently got myself the SEIKO SARB017 Alpinist.

Which watch do you own?-img_0153.jpg

It is a perfect upgrade from my SEIKO 5 series that I got in 2011. The watch was great initiation into the world of mechanical watches and I loved the glass back dial. Of late, it had been running a little fast and I had to look for an upgrade (Repairs on the 5 would have cost me as much as the current price :Frustrati)

I had my eyes on the Alpinist since very long, but it was always out of budget. The watch has a wonderful green hue that has a nice sheen depending on the light. It runs the Seiko 6R15 movement and has an internal compass bezel.

Here are the pics for you to enjoy.
