Hi @dk7729, may I know where you purchased the silicone strap from? The 5 looks great with it :) !
New Watch Alert 🤪
It is the “Corum Golden Bridge Ref. 113.550.55.F” watch!
I couldn’t be more happier than getting this on my wrist. Corum has bagged my vote amongst the toughest competition in selection process.
I must say that nothing I have collected so far attracts my eyes like Corum Golden Bridge. It is a magnet! This thing is a mix of art, skills and technology. The panoramic watch case provides an unique opportunity to witness the beauty and craftsmanship of watch making in all 4 sides of the watch movement. This watch is so unique, I tend to reach this more often than any other watch in my collection. Let me tell you, it is also a great conversation starter and head turner.
Movement: Calibre CO 113 (7000) manual winding single bridge linear lever movement constructed with 19 jewels, an Incabloc shock absorber mechanism, a straight-line lever escapement, a monometallic balance, a self-compensating free-sprung balance, and the mechanism half-oscillates at a frequency of 28,000 vph (4Hz) and 40 hours power reserve.
The watch box presentation is also unique to depict a bridge so the watch model.
What are Team-Bhpians thoughts on the soon to be launched MoonSwatch? Its a pity that they are not available in India and I hope they are not a limited edition/limited run because whatever said I would like to get my hands on one. I am sure they are going to sell out soon. Only time will tell if this would be called a genius move or sacrilege on Omega's part. Oh and the price is $250. An omega replica would cost more than that rl:

I saw this - and honest hate them. Diluting the Moonwatch brand perhaps.

I think ETHOS might be getting it to India. I would be getting one if it is available. I don't think it would dilute the image of Moonwatch it is a one time dabble by Omega, like a publicity gimmick. We have much cheaper imitations of Omega watches available all over, so Purists need not worry. Let us ordinary mortals buy one original with our tiny purses once atleast.

Will only be available in offline channels that too only thru SWATCH stores and name of India is not in the list as of now. Ethos will not be getting it as confirmed by their team.
Bought a humble Casio E120LY-7AVDF. Love the beautiful dial and the diamond cut glass. Though clearly resembles a Seiko Presage.
Absolutely beautiful. I would like to see all your current collection arranged in a beautiful watch box.

Hello watch experts!
Needed your suggestions for buying a watch for my mother. She has been wearing fashion brands in the past few years but I want to buy a proper watch brand for her this time. Budget is around 20k and can be increased to 25k. She will wear the watch only when she is going out of the house hence I think a quartz will be suitable for her as opposed to a mechanical watch. Also, she does not want leather straps.
Any particular watches / brands I should consider? Any help with be greatly appreciated!

It's tough to suggest watches for the ladies as their choice of accessories are very much decided by them. Brand-wise Swaroski, Raga and Citizen (Eco-series) are the ones that have worked when looking for women watches.

Very tricky and please don't waste your time here:). Take her to the nearest big watch showroom (e.g. Ethos) and explain the requirement to the sales person. Let her choose!
Normally they offer 15% discount on MRP. Simple search on their website give some nice option like this in the price range (but automatic, leather band)

Casio, Seiko and Citizen. The holy Japanese trinity should be the first place you look at especially if it is quartz watches you are looking for. They offer great value at their price points. Tons of options and designs at literally every possible budget.

I second this suggestion. These 3 brands have some nice designs in their ladies watch categories. Seiko has recently put out a special edition, that is just gorgeous (IMO):

But since your mother doesn't want leather straps, it won't be a contender.
Also, like Latheesh suggested above, please take her in person for the purchase. Happy shopping and do let us know which one she chooses finally. :)
