That's a lovely looking watch Tapish. I intend to buy a Seiko for my dad for sentimental reason. He have one made in 1972 gifted to him by my Maternal Grandfather at the time of marriage.

The one bought by you is very classy looking and is as simple and elegant as owned by my dad.

As far as my personal watch goes, I am yet to buy one for myself but this doesn't mean that I don't have one, I have following all gifted.

1, Tommy Hilfigher- Gifted by my Sister
2, Espirit Midnight black (Chronograph)-Gifted by my mother-in-law
3, Fast Track- Gifted by Dad
4, Puma (Chronograph)- Gifted by Wife on my last B'day
5, Maxima-Gifted by Dad on my last B'day

Not an impressive collection by any standard , anyway will try to post an image as and when possible.

Not an impressive collection

i'm a hard core Tag heuer fan !
and i at times fancy myself as a strick WATCH MODEL stupid:

Sir not inferior at all, my friend has a 5 series thats about 25 years old, works like a dream. Only recently the movements are assembled in China. They are just as good, but I have a personal bias for mechanical stuff from Japan :)

The glass back is a very nice touch and I can watch the movement for hours, feeling mesmerised with it. Also the movement of the second hand in an automatic and the "tic-tic-tic..." sound is much better than the "tak-pause-tak-pause..." of a quartz.
Totally agree. Automatics feel like living entities... I never felt this way for a watch before.

After years of lusting and day dreaming, I finally own one of my all time favourite make.

Gents, The CORUM Admirals Cup Competition 48. Titanium. A simple mechanical watch, Auto Winding, Day-Date and Sub seconds , Certified Chrono .

None of the above classifies as complications anymore. But it will make my marriage life very complicated :)

I own Titan, fast track and timex watches.

I apologize for turning this thread into a watch buying query thread. I am looking to buy a good watch within 5-6k ranges. I have seen the below models. Please suggest me whether my choice is correct and also i welcome other suggestions.

I have been lusting the last one in your list for a few weeks now. Looks much better than the usual round ones plus has a fourth dial for the month.

I too am looking for a watch in the same price range. Off the lot i have seen this far, this model is what i liked the most - http://www.watchkart.com/casio-edifi...v-watches.html
Have you considered any other brands ?

@infotech58 : Fossil doesn't seem to have many options in this price range. Any other brands to look at ?

I have added this Slim and light weight Skagen T233XLTMN Titanium watch to my collection, really nice piece!

Bought from Amazon.com, and this time delivered on right time and date.

Thats a classic one, Hiren.
I was looking at the same one but finally went with a Seiko 5 series. Wanted to try an automatic. Bought from amazon as well.

I have a very similar watch. It's a casio edifice, not sure about the model number. I have the box i can check it out if you want. It has a chronograph, the date, a start/stop and reset button for the timer. I picked it up last year during my class 12 board exams from shoppers stop. it was 7999, but there was a 10% discount. so effectively 7200 it was. It looks much better than it does in pictures. Its a bit heavy though!

Ya the model number would help. Had been to Shopper's stop today. Didn't find this model there. Moreover, no discounts are on as of now , so would wait for a while.

EDIT:Just found that model on watchkart. Looks like rates have gone u now.
