Sorry for digging up this old post, but I am simply in love with the HMT Excel. Any chance I can get it somewhere? I saw it on ebay but it's selling for 6k - Ultra RARE HMT Excel Automatic watch, NOS with Pointer date and 1year warranty. | eBay

Help ! Mine is a Titan one. Any one knows how to check the model no/name of a watch. I really wish to check related info online. Just can't figure out the exact model no. I even tried Google image search ! :D

Try HMT Bhavan near Mekhri circle. If its not available, you can request them to keep you informed whenever the model is available.

Another store which keeps good stock of HMTs is in BVK Iyengar road. Just enter the street and you will find the store on the right hand side apprx 50 meters from the signal.

Got myself a Citizen Skyhawk AT Titanium (JY0010-50E)
Got it from US (skyhawk is not available in India, only Navihawk watches are available as of now)

Looks super cool and light weight too.

So i settled for the 2nd best on my wanted list; Classic Tough Black 7900. Ever since i got my Enfield last b'day i wanted a Defy + & a G Shock. Now my set is complete. Enfield Class 500; Defy + & G shock. Out doors here i come lol:

The price was 5995/- at shoppers stop + 10% discount. Paid 5395/-.

It looks great! Congrats.
I am also an eco-drive owner for the last 6 years now.
Runs like a charm with ZERO issues, touch wood.
Coming to your specific one, it doesn't work in India as it is supposed to. Isn't it?
Reason is that the preset time zones that it supports are only those time zones that are +/- from UTC in hours.
India being UTC + 5:30, it isn't supported. So whenever you would want to switch from one time zone to another, it is always flawed. Isn't this the case?
Atleast this is the case with my eco-drive which is also skyhawk, i presume. I don't remember the exact model number anymore.

Yup, it is light b'coz the body and the strap is all made of titanium.

Cheers,
Deepak

Thanks..
Deepak,
It has preset 43 cities timezone.
Delhi is also included as part of the city timezone.
Also you can add HOME CITY by adjusting the hours from the UTC (+5.30).. Not an issue ,So works like a charm..
Sad part, As it's an Atomic time keeping watch, I'm still not able to syncro the Radio signal with any satellite here in Bangalore.

That is really great to hear Sushrutha.
Sadly, my watch is i guess ver.1 :D and this one does not support timezone like ours.

Deepak

This is how it looks on hand (though nt my hand ;-) but almost similar, pic frm google)
Which watch do you own?-skyhawkatimg_2285sm.jpg
doesn't look as small all Navihawk.. but not bulky either.
Just perfect for my hand (will post the pic later).
Good part is it never needs a battery & never needs time adjustment as long as it catches radio singals nd exposed to light ;-)

Folks, Once again couple of watches added  to the collection. Now the finance ministry also added to purchase. Hence the month of August harvested a Concord(His), Omega Geneva GP(His) and a Longines (Her) watches.

The Omega pictures are not available yet but other two.

Hi, can you tell me where you get the Edifice 550 Red Bull watch from?

In what could be the lowest priced watch on this thread, I own a Casio F91W-1 that I bought 4 years ago when I was in the US, studying. Got this for $11 and continue to use it till date. I really do not have to bother about it once it is on my wrist. It's very lightweight and you barely feel it on the hand. You get replacement straps for ~Rs50 and the battery supposedly lasts 10years. Haha... I'm cheap :D
