Lancia Fulvia! Superb.
Is this an HF Fanalone?
And you seem to have a Jag Mk 2? Please post photos!
Instead of relying solely on words, emojis do allow us to communicate visually and instantly. They are most used by younger Generations but easily accessed and understood by people of all ages and languages, allowing for wider communication and are essential tool in today's scenario.
Hence Was just having a Thought, Since its mostly a Car/Drive forum, If "traffic signs" can be added as emojis which can help in creating the awareness of common Joe who isn't much familiar with the road signs.
I encountered this restriction for the first time.
While I appreciate the thought behind this, a better way to enforce this would be to disable the Reply and Quote buttons, thus making the thread read-only. Hope this can implemented.

For the time being, you can probably use some non-forum emojis, like 🚳? If you do use it, probably best to keep ‘em under the 2 per post limit.
I had asked a related question sometime back, but there was no response either way - allowed or not allowed. So, cannot say for sure if you are fine to use non-forum emojis.

More of a question, what’s the stand on use of non-forum (more contemporary) smileys?

Sounds like a thread ban. A workaround for the moment could be to read the thread without logging in, or use a private/incognito window, separate from the one where you are logged in currently.
Lately I was thinking that while browsing through a long thread one might need to check what page they are on while scrolling and also forget name of the thread itself. This has definitely happened with me more than once.
Since most of us now have devices with reasonable screen sizes, a Banner on top with Thread Name, Link Share Option, Page Indicator, Paginator as well as Search Options will add to the overall reader experience. :)

Is there a listing of the available-not-shown smilies? |

You need to click on the smilie icon and scroll to the bottom and click on ‘Show all Smilies’.

This window will open and you can choose some not so commonly used Smilies.

This is closely related to the infinite scroll feature and something similar was raised in the past. See the following post (and some others on that page) for the previous discussion.

Is it possible to introduce an option to turn off the 'infinite scroll'? (Unless there is one that I don't know about yet) I often remember posts by their page number and at times I miss the page navigator and end up skipping to a few pages later than I intended. Thanks. |
Can we add a button/link to see all the replies to a specific post?
I'm sure quite often we find an interesting post (let's call it OP) and end up reading all the replies (let's call it RP) to that post, basically, try to see all the other posts where the original post is "
quoted".
This is easy if the RP immediately follows the OP. However, it becomes difficult on a thread when there are multiple discussions going on simultaneously. Then, one would have to scroll a lot to see RP for the OP and some RP may even be overlooked in this process.
So, an option to see all the posts where OP is quoted would be really helpful. Something like below:
- If I want to see all replies to ex-innova-guy's post #7642, then

- On clicking that icon, it opens up a page that shows all the RP to the OP:

I too had requested it some time back and it might be a limitation of the forum software. The workaround is to search for the quote tag. That will list all posts that quoted a particular post. However this is practically possible only on desktop.
Can we please add a few more stickers to the merchandise site? One of the suggestions I have is for sticker badges based on kilometers done totally ( not on that car but in total )
We could have stickers starting from 100000 Kms and a different one for every x Kms.
So, different sticker badges for 100000, 150000, 200000, 250000, 300000 etc.
The badge may not be too big in size. WIll have an insignia and a text that says "This driver has done 250000+ Kms" or something similar, with the 250000 showing up in big font and would be visible from say the car behind.
In the "Search Forums" dropdown box - can we:
- If "search titles only" is selected, then default to "show threads"
- If it is not selected, then default to "show posts"
Currently we default to "show threads" in both cases. So, when I search for anything, the output is a list of all threads that has my search term somewhere within them. I need to do a second search (per result thread) to figure out where, and in what context. The above suggestion seems to capture all the use-cases for searching.
Another couple of suggestions that relate to the 10-second cool-off period for sequential searches:
1. Can we dispense with it for sequential clicks on "New Posts" and "New Topics"?
2. Also when the previous search didn't produce any results?
I noticed I'm not a member of any group in this column. How can I join an active group? I can't seem to find one here except discussion threads. How do I find groups on Team-BHP please suggest ?

Team-BHP runs on a standard, albeit somewhat customised, forum software. There may be functionality that is just not used.
I've been here for a long, long time. I have never been part of such a group. I don't think you are missing anything.
