I hope you mean during your wedding. Otherwise, I would say you are damn lucky, to be eating like this throughout your marriage.

How many people remember this 2sq.ft size Pizza? Yup, it was commercially available one time.

There's one more thread to share BHpians' own culinary creations: this one. The "food photography" theme is related to food served at your own table, and clicked by you, not necessarily cooked by you.

re: The Official Theme Photography Thread: Festival Spirit

Aha my kind of thread. Whenever i eat something that looks good, i tend to take a picture of it, most people think ive lost it but i dont care.
I bring you food pics from my personal gallery all taken by me at various places and times, mostly on my travels.

This series i dedicate to Thailand, comprising mostly of Thai and oriental food and that odd bit of food not from that region.

The Thai Curries

Thailand has various curries and the main three mother curries are as under. All curries are given the name of the type of chillies used in them, i.e. red, green, yellow. In additio to that, there is a lavish use of other spices, sauces and Thai specific condiments, besides Galangal (a type of Thai ginger) lemon grass and Coconut cream

Red

Made of Red chillies

Green

Yellow

Tom Kha

A soup made of coconut milk and stock and a hoard of veggies with galangal, onions, lemon grass, tomato etc.

The Official Theme Photography Thread: Festival Spirit-tom-kha-800x600.jpg

Sting Ray

The very delicate flavoured and textured fish besides being boneless. This is a chinese preparation which is made up of the sting ray placed between pieces of banana leaf with a kind of sauce or sambal spread on it. This is then cooked on a griddle without the griddle actually touching the fish.

Hainanese Chicken Rice

Again of Chinese origin from the Hainanese province. Sliced, roasted chicken put on Jasmine flavoured rice served with a cup of plain stock and some salad. Very light and very flavourful

re: The Official Theme Photography Thread: Festival Spirit

One of the finest Italian cuisines i have had was in Thailand. Strange but so true.

Carpaccio

Cured raw beef sliced and served with extra virgin olive oil, lemon and black pepper, garnished with some Rocket (Aragula leaves) and topped with shavings of Parmesan cheese

Wild mushroom Risotto flavoured with Black Truffle oil

The Official Theme Photography Thread: Festival Spirit-dsc00598-800x600.jpg

Spaghetti Carbonara
Spaghetti with cream, bacon, and eggs. Sprinkled with black pepper (hence the name Carbonara, which depicts black pepper as "Carbon")

Lasagna

This is German Cuisine

Steamed chicken dumplings in a thin sauce made with milk and butter, served with boiled potato

Grilled fish with Lemon Butter Sauce served with boiled potato

Sushi- California Rolls
These are California Rolls. Made of Nori(sea weed) enveloped with stick rice and with Crab meat and Avocado in the center. The orange dots are a type of caviar which add the complexity of colour (maybe thats why it was called California roll, due to its bling look) and texture. A personal favourite.

Back to Thai food

Minced Chicken with basil leaves and Thai chillies

What i found really refreshing is the fresh Orange juice one gets off the carts on the street. Usually also available is fresh chilled coconut water. (These are kept dunked in a thermocol ice box, hence always chilled) Available almost everywhere, chilled and uniquely sweet with a touch of salt added to it. It costs around 20-30 Bahts and is worth every sip you take. Nest time in Thailand, do give this a try. I have a consumption rate of almost 5-6 bottles a day, maybe more.

One of the numerous bottles i gluged during the day

Bought from the Orange Juice Street Vendor such as this.

This shot was taken on second thought, so please excuse the partially eaten portion. Not exactly great photography, but what the heck.
