I bought my baleno from true value, and i've had absolutely no problems with it. But damn if i had 8 lakhs, i would have gone in for an RS/accord and do it up.

and have seen my cousins kid buying playstation just for the heck of it... i pity the future generation and yes ofcourse "parents" hehe

This news is coming out a day after we saw another boy in bangalore stealing bikes and scooters to impress his girl friend !! Times bangalore edition had a photograph with the boy infront of 4 or 5 stolen bikes. In my school days it was just a good flower or a greeting card that was enough to impress that 'someone' special. Now things have gone costlier. The question is, how long a 'show-off and impress' technique last ?

Well said! You and I gotta be prepared. I'm gonna tell my kid that I work in the house keeping dept serving tea and biscuits to foreign customers.

Well it doesn't. Someone gets a Verna and bang, its over. She moves to the other car. Real love might be just hard to get these days. Looks used to work just fine in my time.

A 13 year old boy in the US ran up a cell phone bill of nearly $22,000 yesterday.

The Associated Press: Teen runs up dad's cell bill to nearly $22,000

Kids are on a roll...could this be something related to global warming?

A flower, greeting card of even a thoughtful gesture is enough to please most girls. It is these ignorant fools who go out looking for attention from the female species that end up making huge blunders. I guess it's time for schools to start teaching boys how to get the opposite gender's attention without breaking the bank

The kid needs professional counseling to make him realise:
- Not to give in to peer pressure
- It is not cool to steal from parents
- Not to drive without a license
- Hatch-converted-to-sedan is not meant for impressing the gals

Why couldn't he just ask his father to provide him a chauffeured car ?

Rohan,
Bangalore

That really had me going. If it were a Dezire, what was the waiting period like?

Looks like most of us admonish his choice rather than the deed.LOL

How did ever think that he could win girls over with a 'DZire'? Maybe, he got a second hand one and used remaining on something else maybe liquor, drugs etc. Who knows?

I guess the parents are also to blame with all the pampering they do. They should know better than pampering the kids with anything and everything. There should be a limit to everything. I've seen some of my younger cousins get whatever they demand from their parents. That is a very bad precedent to set, because in future when their demands are rejected, they will go out of the way to get it fulfilled. (I know, too philosophical, isn't it?)

Its even more fishy that they didn't notice for quite a long time, given the long waiting periods for Dzire. The last i heard was close to 6 months.

OT: Read somewhere: Dzire is not a car, it's a compromise. (No offence meant)
