Re: Which car is a head-turner on Indian roads?

Head-turner! but whose head?

I can talk about cars which turn my head. Here is my list.

1. Ford Mustang (Race Red)
2. Porsche Cayenne (Basalt Black)
3. Any and every Rolls Royce / Bentley
4. Skoda Octavia RS (Race Blue Metallic)
5. Any Vehicle with race/rally stickers
6. Hummer (Rare spotting)
4. New launched car ( for a specific time)

Re: Which car is a head-turner on Indian roads?

Remember an incident from my college days, must have been somewhere between '98-2000 in Bangalore. My friend and I were riding on Old Airport Road (that time it was still 'Airport Road' ) when we saw a Beemer dragging with a Merc. I remember how excited we were to see two exotic (for those days) beauties on the road. I remember how we used to stop and admire each superbike we saw on the road.

These days, I see a Lambo everytime I pass the showroom on Lavelle Road. I don't even slow down when I hear the familiar whine of an inline-4 forced to move in bumper-to-bumper traffic. Spotting a Ferrari or a Ducati (the epitome of 4 and 2-wheeled awesomeness IMHO) is no longer a life changing event.

And the poor Beemers and Mercs no longer get even a second glance. Times (and what it takes to turn heads in Bangalore these days) sure have changed.

PS: I'll still drool over a Maruti Gypsy though!
