I also received the pass from BLR to go to Chennai and the pass says it has been issued in conjunction with the Govt of Tamil Nadu. I suppose this should be enough for the onward journey. However the return journey doesn't say such a thing. Have applied for the TN pass to be safe but doesn't look like may get it since its been 48 hours since application.

My grandfather is stuck in Kutch since this lockdown started on 23 March. His return ticket was on 21 March but due to cancellation of trains / flights he was unable to come. He is totally alone with just our bungalow caretaker. He is 91 years and now desperately wants to come back home to Mumbai. Considering his age we have decided not to allow him to take any public transport / taxi / train. Only option is I drive to Kutch and get him back in our personal car.

Now problem is getting Covid E Pass. I checked on Maharashtra Police portal but there is NO option of returnable pass. I can get only one way pass from Mumbai to Kutch (Bhuj). Returnable passes only available within the state. eg. Mumbai - Nasik - Mumbai.

Almost total journey will be non-stop on highway except bio / food breaks and I will not be entering any villages / towns on the way. I will be crossing Gujrat then into Kutch. Do I require different E Pass from Gujrat too?

I just need 3 days to bring him back, since traffic will be also less I want to leave asap.

Does anyone know how this interstate returnable E Pass issue can be sorted? I have been searching online a lot but haven't found any proper information.

A colleague who is in TN and got a KA pass approved yesterday, got this SMS a while back -

You have been issued ePass from Seva Sindhu portal for travel to Karnataka. Please note that you will be quarantined compulsorily in an institution (schools / hostels / hotels (paid basis) / Kalyan Mantpas, etc for a period of 14 days if found asymptomatic on arrival, irrespective of the state from where you are travelling. If found symptomatic on arrival, you shall be admitted to a hospital. Please plan your travel accordingly.

Also, I did a Bangalore to KA-KL border and return yesterday, details about getting permits mentioned here (Bangalore - Calicut : Route Queries).

Considering the case of KA, TN & KL, there is no common pass issued as such, for intrastate trip too, return passes are not issued by default.

Yes, since yesterday this rule has been made mandatory. Anyone returning from TN will have to undergo institutional quarantine for 14 days. This is applicable for people returning from high risk states.

As of last night, KA has made it mandatory institutional quarantine for 14 days for anyone traveling from other states (ANY state) and entering KA. Home quarantine is no more an option.

Does anyone have info about inter-district travel passes within Karnataka? Can this be applied online? The information regarding this is very confusing and seva sindhu site does not have any option to apply for inter-district pass.

This is one time, 2 way pass as per the recent communication from GOK. It's OTP based registration via mobile phone number. Just be careful about filling the vehicle and address related information as you can just fill it once.

I am taking the special train from New Delhi to Bangalore. Does this institutional quarantine apply to me as well or only those who travel on their own?

And do I need a pass as well to enter Karnataka even though I am coming via special train?

I travelled to Mysore with my family from Bangalore last Saturday with inter district pass.
For each applicant, there can be two other adults and two minor children for each pass. No work around for this. We were 4 adults and one kid. Checked with the local police station, they asked not to take chance traveling more than specified number of people in a single car and pass. So we take one more pass for my wife's car.

Once all the information is filled in the forms, the pass will be generated in the next step.
Suggest to take a printout and paste it on the windshield to avoid police asking for it at every checkpoint.

Thank you very much. Are you supposed to be in quarantine post travel? I have to drop my inlaws to Mangalore from Bangalore and the plan is to return alone in a couple of days. Still trying to figure out the logistics.

That is bad, as I had applied it already but could not go ahead with the travel. Hope this will not be a requirement post May 17th.

I want to travel from Chennai to Nagercoil with my wife and her sister in my car, but worried about the number of districts I will have to cross since each district have their own rules

I don't want to end up in some institutional quarantine of some random district

Anyone, got any confirmed update when the flights will start?
Have been hearing different dates of resumption of flights. (SpiceJet website, shows availability of flights from June 1st.)

My brother-in-law traveled till Tirunelveli and he didn't face any issues. But I heard from a friend that for Nagercoil, you will have to undergo institutional quarantine. So, please verify this.
