I did a 175+ Kmph on a stock Hyundai Accent GLS 1.5 Ltr engine, it maxed out at between 178-180. Am in touch with a couple of guys Viper and TMW for futher modifications whcih can take me even further lol .

If you know of any better one to do the performance upgrade (K&N stuff, Free Flow exhausts, some bodykit work and a good paint job) which will have the value for the buck, please let me know with details. Thanks

140 mph on a suzuki SV 650( a 650 cc bike) while in the US !!
120 mph on a VW jetta..

140 kmph on a baleno (tumkur road)
90 kmph on a Force Tempo Traveller ( i bribed the driver to allow me to drive for about 1 hour)

So far my top speed is 234kph in a new Mercedes S320 CDI during the test-drive for the magazine...I drove it at Chennai-Banagalore NH...Unfortunetly I could snap this only...its not a perfect highway for speed test, even then I didnt wana miss a chance...



My other top speed records are:

Spped (in kph) Cars
- 234 Merc S320 CDI
- 225 Merc E200K & Audi A6 3.0TDI
- 220 BMW 730Ld
- 185 Merc E270
- 175 Merc E250 & Fiat Palio D
- 165 Maruti Esteem

i have done 170kmph on my Ikon 1.6 ROCAM on CNG on Greater Noida Expressway:-) wonder how petrol would have done???

Mine didn't break the sound barrier but i did a 115mph (185 kph) on my BMW Z3 Roadster a few yrs back when I was abroad
