Also checked out the 2017 Versys 650. It was taller than the Ninja 1000 and the seating posture was even more upright and more comfortable.

The derriere

Notes -
1. The Ninja 1000 requires slight handlebar raisers and a taller windscreen to make it fully touring compatible according to my frame size of 6'.
2. All service parts like oil and filters will be provided over the counter if an when required by me. No questions asked.
3. 10k handling charges will be waived off. I am bargaining for more accessories but since it a new bike and with limited numbers, they are reluctant as of now. They will fit the power socket at max. So that makes the bike 11 lacs on-road Delhi.
4. Though the head says Versys, the wail of the in-line 4 is just too intoxicating. And with all the latest gadgetry makes the deal quite compelling. Still to take a final call.

Cheers....

Delhi guys are still lucky! Costs 12.52L OTR in Bangalore!

What is the availability? The Kawasaki showroom here says Green will be delivered in November, but the black one is available for delivery. (I think they are pulling a fast one)

Kawasaki OE DC Power Socket. Part # 99994-0485 priced at a exorbitant Rs. 7140/-. I have seen similar part on Aliexpress for 100 bucks - https://www.aliexpress.com/item/Wate...ddresstype=600

@dkaile - Did you get the 12V power socket as a free accessory? clap:

I really dig the OEM Ninja 1000 tank pad, unfortunately it's not available with the Mumbai dealer. Is it the same case in all Kawasaki showrooms? Even the soft top case is really awesome.

As expected, these are quite expensive products but they surely ooze quality. Wish it was at least offered as option in showrooms like how Triumph has the entire range of accessories available.

I have not bought the bike yet. I was just checking their stock as to what they actually have, and that was it. Their showrooms should be stacked with accessories by August end as per information given to me including gear, jackets etc. and accessories. Everything is on order as of now and things like tank pad, frame sliders, panniers etc. can be back ordered. The panniers are mighty costly though, about 1.2 lacs with inner bags, matching lock set, matching color panels. Just the panniers barebone are about 70k. Frame sliders are around 14k, tank pad around 6-7 k. So, quite exorbitant.

Sounds like the Gillette strategy! Sell the bike for a low price and make money on the accessories! 1.2L for Panniers :Shockked:

Yeah. But things like frame sliders, radiator guard, tank pad etc. can easily be bought after market. The Akrapovics that they are selling for 1.8L is available for 1.15 L from Akrapovics Mumbai dealer. The gel seat which they are selling for 55k can be got OE from Motorsport.com for around 35k. Motorsport.com also ships most of the Kawasaki OE accessories at a more reasonable price.

Sorry, it's motosport.com; e.g. here's a link to the Gel seat for the Kawasaki Ninja 1000 - http://www.motosport.com/genuine-kaw...t-gel-seat-set

hi,

Just picked up Kawasaki ninja 1000 2017 black and grey combination last week from Hyderabad showroom.
I am attaching few pictures which i have taken. There is only one word to describe the bike WOWWWW.
The best thing is how easy it is to ride in city traffic (read slow). One can just putter around at 30 km/hrs in 4-5th gear without any resistance from the bike. 6th gear is good from 35 km/hr till 250 km/hr without any problem...this is how smooth the power delivery is.
The reason for selecting black and grey combination was basically to keep a low profile as I found green to be little loud.
Enjoy the pics for now...

Congrats Ashish on the N1000 and welcome to the Kawasaki world !!

It's a gorgeous looking machine and the color combination is very good and nice to see Kawasaki experimenting with other colors like this one (Versys 1000 has the same color combo)

Pictures from the prime lens is drool worthyclap:

Congratulations. Absolutely beautiful bike. Wishing you many wonderful years of safe riding on this Gentleman's Sports Cruiser. I wish we could also remove the front license plate to a more docile location.

Cheers...
