Can one carry compact binoculars to the F1 race?
Professional camera are a 'no', have not read anything about binoculars..

If one has a bulky or large lens like a 70-200 f2.8 or 300 f4 I think they will stop you. Might get by with a entry level Dslr with a basic zoom.

I am planning to take the bus (booked thru' BMS) to reach the circuit tomorrow and day after.

The website mentions that the bus service will start at 6.30am and a bus will leave every 30min. On the way back, buses will leave once the "last event of the day" completes.

Anyone with an idea what this last event on both Saturday and Sunday is? Is it end of practice/race or is there anything planned thereafter too?

Feedback from people on the track today was that there were DSLRs in there. I think large zoom lenses would invite trouble (though I'm carrying my 55-250, will have to leave it in the car, worst case scenario)

Saturday - JK Racing Asia Series at 3.30 pm (half an hour), followed by F1 Drivers Autograph Session at 4.30 pm (ending at 6 pm). Nothing on Sunday after the race.

A friend of mine has one extra Rs. 12500/- ticket (price for 3 days). He says the view is very good (not sure about the name of the stand though) and is willing to sell it at a discount. If you are interested, please PM me.

I am surprised!
My friend's kid brother went.
Word is that the best option is to get dropped and picked, than take own vehicle, at your respective gate.
Parking's about 12 km away.
Trackside is 1k :0
