Anyone interested for a meet at KOLKATA?

yes there was one more but that was started by SP Kolkata last year with zero replies. this is the most recent one by him "with replies".

so what do you think? how about we make some plans for a Kolkata Meet? by the way @ shuvc what do you mean by "Lets !"? if that is a yes then its great! :)

For agenda: Simple. Meet someplace relatively cheap. Drink, eat & abuse. Find your way home. Sleep. Wake up. Post pictures & report. End of story. Read our meet report for more details.

Gotta be a weekend for me - preferably Sat evening. The way life is right now - family and office takes up all the time :)

A dampner - 'drink' for me constitutes water, fresh lime or pepsi :p. Hence I wouldn't know where we could get cheap stuff. Maybe Tangra (chinatown) is an option ? Anyway, veterans would know best.

One thing that may help is to understand where we are all located - and then choose a place accordingly.

Probable venues : Some restaurant in Tangra, Bowlers Den (near Nicco Park)

elf that would be way too radical for a first meet, considering none of the kolkata members know each other. more like meet, intros, better halves could be brought along as the bongos are usually nice mellow smiley people.
getting smashed and abusing should be adhered to a little later on.

Anyway, a meet sounds like a good idea.
4th Nov at 7pm works for me.
The venue, I guess is dependent on what the agenda for the evening is. If we plan to drink and be a little "ahem" vocal, then abcos or any other proper restaurant is out IMO. bowler's den, mishra's, tangra, or if ur feeling a little adventurous, then sher-e punjab (past the airport)!
anyway, i'm cool with anything in cal. as far as better halves are concerned, i'm single ;) but anyone else is free to bring their's (preferably with an attractive, single *female* friend in tow!) ... lol
anyway, i'll be watching this space. feel free to PM me if u want.

hey even sher-e-punjab sounds great! we will have to work on this. in the mean time i will try to get in touch with 1100D. :)

Spoke to @1100D - he suggested we also try and factor in a drive - although he is game for any plan. If so, another option is to meet around mid-day, have a light lunch and go for a hour or two drive somewhere.

yep same here. we can game for the idea. as long as i have my hands on the steering wheel...i am happy and excited. long drive is heavenly... but guys i will have a hard time catching up with you in my fiat. but hey "i am ready"
