We planned for a mini-offroading meet in the morning of 1st January, 2016 and a motorcycle meet at night. The morning meet ended up as morning tea meet due to unavailability of our local offroading spots. This meet saw BHPian Debjit (Team-BHP handle - delix), myself (Team-BHP handle - psurelia), Rishiraj (Debjit's friend) and Abhishek (member of our local 4x4 group) participate with their steeds. We again met in front of Quest Mall at 10PM with our motorcycles and from there we rode to Gotham's for coffee. It was a fun ride through the City of Joy in chilling winter night. Debjit (Team-BHP handle - delix), Navtej (Team-BHP handle - navsjab), myself (Team-BHP handle - psurelia) & Om (non-tbhpian) were the participants in this meet. | Re: Kolkata: Impromptu Team-BHP Meets I was passing by Netaji Statue in Central Park today and say a banner showing "Wheels 2016 - Kolkata Auto Festival - Feb 12 - 14th". Is anyone from the Kolkata Chapter aware of this event ? Has any meet been planned around this event ?  |

| BHPian  | Re: Kolkata: Impromptu Team-BHP Meets This meet started off with innocuous questions like,what are you doing on Saraswati Pujo ,do we go to our usual Club on Friday night or Saturday night,will everyone turn up at Club in the evening , etc. Didn't have a clue then that this will turn up to be such a splendid get together To cut a long story short,this is how it all happened. Me and ShuvD decided we will try to enjoy this holiday weekend as much as we can,away from the city. Two of us,thus went to Metro Cash n Carry and got our ration on Friday afternoon,after I came out of my hospital early.We planned to meet early next day and go to Baganbari - a farmhouse made famous by earlier T-BHP meets from Kolkata since 2008. Plan was for a strict day meet where we would try to plan for the next bigger meet which would include entire Kolkata chapter ! Planet Rocker and Premjit confirmed that they will be glad to join us,but due to their preoccupation XetaGLGRocks,ShuvC and 1100D declined. NOS aka Joseph and Toiing wasn't even sure they could make it,again due to their work and other prior engagements. Me and ShuvD reached The Baganbari around 11 yesterday  Then within half an hour,it was Planet Rocker and his wonderful wife who arrived  Premjit and family arrived around 12.30. The venue is known to many Team-BHP members of Kolkata since we successfully arranged two Picnics here on earlier occasions      Adda and everything else started soon after and we were really having a nice time. | BHPian | Re: Kolkata: Impromptu Team-BHP Meets Premjit's cute toddler was the center of attraction most of the time  Lunch at 3pm was delicious and we continued our adda    Finally Premjit had to leave with his family as he had prior engagements.We too prepared to leave when we got a call from Toiing that he was on his way ! We were overjoyed but were planning to leave for Kolkata in next 15 minutes,so what do we do ?!! Then we decided to let him come,and we will spend an hour or so with him and then leave thereafter. He arrived with his little bundle of joy and wifey and we were so very happy that hours passed quickly and it was nearly dark outside,and we finally decided we will leave after having tea. Tea was made and served when we get a call from NOS,that he may turn up but would be late. So we decide to stay back some more now ! It was 8.30pm when he finally came alone,all the way from Kolkata. Now the question arose,do we stay back or drive back to Kolkata at that time. The general consensus was , ' why don't we stay back and enjoy an out of this world night out at Baganbari' !! So finally we decided, let's stay back and enjoy.Thanks to our wonderful caretaker Kartick, food was the least of our worries.He was quick to arrange an awesome Barbecue with mutton,onions and tomatoes for us.   Snacks and beverages were in abundant supply,thanks to our marketing,the day before Our adda sessions continued into the dead of the night which were interspersed with unending supply of finger-lickingly good stuff.  We were laughing so much,that our tummies began to ache,when sudden chorus of foxes made us sit up and go absolutely quite. The eerie silence of the dark night within a huge Baganbari with the foxes shouting outside at times and rustle of leaves around,made it a wonderfully memorable experience. Finally we had dinner around 2am  Adda continued thereafter as well when finally we decided to retire for the night Morning today was wonderful and it started late as it was a Sunday and we weren't in a hurry. We chatted with steaming cups of tea in the lawn  and waited for the luchi-aluchenchki to be made for us for breakfast  Customary Team-BHP pictures of all our steeds were done in style by Planet and are as follows      Some random shots mostly taken by Planet Rocker |

I was passing by City Center, Salt Lake (road in front of the Suresh Neotia CII gate, behind City Center) and I saw a crowd gathered there. Slowing down a bit, I could see some auto event in progress....the gates were festooned with balloons and I could make out a Tata Safari on a pedestal (possibly TATA booth), a Maruti Ciaz under a Maruti-Suzuki banner and backdrop. There were also other cars but I failed to make out to make out the brands through the trees while on the move. Was in hurry or I would have surely gone in to see it.  | |

| Re: Kolkata: Impromptu Team-BHP Meets There have been many impromptu meets in between but this one needs a special mention. Such high turnout for an impromptu meet is fantastic. Blackpearl was leaving town for a short stint in UK & Kolkata BHPians met to bid him goodbye. We all met at Goutams, New Town at 2100 hrs & the meet went on till 2300 hrs.
