It was my first participation in a Team-BHP meet. It was great to personally meet the BHPians from Chennai and especially our moderator Samurai.

I could not carry on till the end of the meet and I left at 10:45 PM. Hope you guys had a great time after that, probably till midnight. The photos clicked by me were not too good (on night mode) and hence am not posting it here. Hope the other members will post them soon.

Expecting someone who stayed till the end to give a detailed report.

Looking forward in participate in the meets that will be coming on in future.

Hi Everyone,

This was also my first participation in a TEAM-BHP meet. About 15 or so members participated

The Initial gathering at Isphani centre, nungambakkam went of well, with the introductions being made by Nitrous.

Then the entire bunch headed off to Hotel Aruna for some informal chat and Drinks.

The List of participants (let me see if i can remember right, anyone left out is unintentional)

The informal chat was divided into two groups, with a)SIDEWAYS narrating his RAID-DE HIMALAYAS experiences at one end of the table and the other group generally chit chatting. But on the whole it was an enjoying experience, where the camaraderie amongst t-bhp'ians was evident.

We had the opportunity of having a peek at the MIVEC engine of Sideways. EX760C'S (ARKA) jeep definitely drew some curious looks from t-bhp'ians as well as onlookers. Subbu was in with his brand new baleno lxi.

The chat went on till 12.00 in the midnight (the hotel was closing) and now the crowd dispersed into two. Most left for home and the remaining converged on a restaurant at Royapettah for dinner (8 of us to be exact).

Sideways showed the pace he could generate with a great display of driving and control. He was gone in a blink, while the rest of us ambled (in comparison).
And finally the most successful

t-bhp meet in chennai, came to an end around 2.00 am Saturday morning(again, this one too was closing for the day).

Am sure hangover must be the reason why photos have not been published till now (though tifosi is a teetotaller, guess he got an overdose of information at the meet).

Looking forward to more such meets

Guys, i will try to post a decent report with the photos that i took once i get a chance to sit on a comp. there is some work going on in my flat & my comp is all packed up. when i get to office, i will try to do something.

i request all who took snaps to please start posting them with comments for the benefit of those unlucky creatures who preferred to stay at work when something more important was going on here.

Wow, that was one nice meet. Imagine, with just 3-5 guys posting on the meet thread, finally 17 guys turned up.
I would leave the write-up to someone else. Will post the snaps for now.

1) L to R are Ajo, esteem_lover and Subbu at Ispahani Centre parking, waiting for Sideways and Samurai.

2) Sideway's Lancer. We were all checking out the car and there is this guy that comes and wonders what is happening. You should have seen the surprising look on his face when told that we were checking out the car.

3) And the Lancer's footwear.

4) At the Quality Inn Aruna
L - R are hotrod, Samurai, Sideways, tifosikrishna, trooper and arka.

It was a pity we had to move out of Hotel Aruna, just when it was getting funny and interesting. More pictures to follow.

1) L - R are nitrous (looking other side), headers, manek, esteem_lover and Samurai.

2) L-R facing us are Arka, Subbu, slipstream and pugram.
L-R facing away are headers and nitrous.

3) L-R facing us are tifosikrishna, ajo, the trooper and hotrod, and arka (half visible). And whose is that bald spot ?

4) L - R are GTS and nitrous in animated conversation. With subbu looking on. GTS wanted to know how to add the maximum bang (as in sound) to his Baleno with the minimum buck. Nitrous suggested options like K&N, freeflow, headers etc, while everyone agreed that the no-cost way is to poke a hole in the exhaust with a screwdriver. In return for the knowhow, nitrous wanted just a few contacts at the BPOs (contacts of 2-legged non-winged birds).

5) Can moderators drink ? Hell, yes. Samurai enjoying his beer, with sideways looking on.

6) Its closing time at Aruna and nitrous is checking out the cash to pay the bill, while esteem_lover does a bottoms-up. Sideways seems to be pissed off about something

, while Manek looks on.

7) A view of the new alloys + tyres on Subbu's Baleno.
