Folks:

Hitherto, Bangalore Quick Meets never had boundaries in terms of territorial/geographical criteria and have expressed a similar view in the Nagercoil meets thread.

Not so sure if this is a good idea.

"More the merrier" is certainly the USP of Bangalore Quick Meets and do think the onus vests with the Organiser to broadcast the venue, date and time of the meet in this thread to facilitate fellow bhpians, who are inclined and who can make it, to participate.

Just a point of view and open to correction .

I agree , the charm is lost when you localize things to the level of extensions, layouts and streets. But it is too tempting not to catchup when something is happening so close, as if it is in your backyard.

Agree Ravi Sir, but since there was another proper full fledged meet planned on saturday morning by Kartikk, I thought it would not be right to interrupt the discussions on that one with our 'little, local meet', hence the point of offline discussion. And one more issue here was we ourselves have not yet made any concrete plans regarding the place of meet, time etc and most likely would be a very impromptu one since it is a working day evening.
We are all the more happy if everyone can make it up on Friday evening as well, somewhere near Sahakarnagar, probably around 7.30-8 PM

Sandeep, quite a challenge for the rest (non locals) to make it this Friday, I think, given that venue is 'somewhere' and time is 'probably'.

I thought the title of this thread was "quick meets" so what's the issue if a bhpian happens to be in a particular city and a particular area from out of town and has a little bit of time to spend with other Bhpians who may be around ? Formal meets can be pre planned and itinerary fixed, quick meets happen spontaneously depending on the time one has and the venues and timings can be flexible.

Absolutely fine. I guess the only suggestion here was to make the location and time visible on the forum to enable interested people to join in. I'm sure numbers might increase if the location is posted up here rather than just exchanged over PMs, if this is a teamBhp members' meet.

P.S - where are you guys meeting up?? I am totally jobless this weekend, will definitely try to join
