Any thoughts of having a short meet -- I actually dont know any BHPians outside the forum, so I thought it would be good to have a meet - some tea / snacks or the likes covering an hour or so during a weekend. We could plan something a couple of weeks from now - so that we can make all the needed reservations  ? Say any day on the weekend of 19-20 Dec ? Any thoughts ? |

In case some of you are planning to just do nothing for the 'First Half' of the 'First Day' of the year, how about a drive to one of the 2 places for a quick breakfast and back: 1. Paratha House - Link OR 2. A lot of people had asked for Horsley hills as a destination during our previous meets, the road is good, the weather is pleasant now and the distance is convenient for a day trip.We can meetup at the old madras road bridge, proceed to Horsley hills in the morning after a sumptuous breakfast along the way. Spend time at Horsley hills and head back homewards for lunch. There aren't too many good restaurants on this route but I can setup the breakfast and lunch arrangements at a hotel en route, if we have sufficient numbers. A draft version of the schedule looks something like this: Date: Jan 2nd, 2016, 6:30 AM Route: Old Madras road -> Chintamani -> Madanapalle -> Horsley Hills Distance: 150 km approximately (one way) Route map: https://www.google.co.in/maps/dir/Sw...13.6507496!3e0 Itinerary in brief: 6.30 AM : Meet up after the old madras road suspended bridge 7 AM : Depart from Bangalore 7.30 - 8.30 AM : Breakfast. location to be finalized soon but mostly buffet breakfast at Parkfield resotel which is en route. Please note we won't be touching Kolar so Woody's or Adigas is out of question. 10.30 AM : Reach Horsley Hills and explore in DIY fashion after the group pics / photoshoot After the meet, BHPians are free to stay back for lunch at Horsley's APSTDC restaurant or head back homewards, whatever suits their convenience Kickstarting the attendees' list: 1.
