Since I am coming from Whitefield, I would join in CCD Kolar if its the waypoint after Hoskote toll.

We could make the Hoskote toll a waypoint too. We get to drive together some distance that way.

We then push off from Mulbagal by 9:15 AM and make our way back to Bangalore. We can drive together till RMZ Infinity on Old Madras Road and take our own ways from there. The drive back from Mulbagal till RMZ infinity should take us 1 hr 45 mins. So ETA in Bangalore is 11 AM to 11:15 AM.

At that hour on a Saturday, you'll get massacred at Prasad. Moreover it's in the middle.of town with no parking space. You'd have to park somewhere after the market which will be troublesome for as many cars.

I'd recommend to stick to Woody's. If you want to try Mulbagal Dosa, these are the better alternates for a larger group.

Not wishing to hijack this thread. Nor am I normally a participant in these sudden impromptu meets. But somehow yesterday, seeing all these posts I also got the urge to let the Cooper Growl a bit on a gentle morning drive. Coincidentally our fellow member and my good neighbour RedlineShooter had messaged me ref this Kolar drive but considering where we live this Kolar meet would have been too strenuous especially because of the Old Madras road and KR Puram and all. I had also exchanged messages with our good buddy Megazoid who did suggest Kolar, but I chose to drop the Kolar idea for the above reasons. So we decided to do a gentle drive to Shoolagiri and back.

So RedlineShooter and I started at 620am. He drove his rare Maroon Ford Figo S and I took the Cooper. I think we were chatting on the car bluetooth throughout and keeping each other in sight all the time, sometimes he led and sometimes I led. A very enjoyable drive and both the cars got a little exercise.

Stopped at the Shoolagiri CCD for Coffee, then on the hill side for a couple of photos. Drove to Krishnagiri and found Murugans to be very crowded so went a bit further till the Collectors office and took a few photos. Then U turned under the bridge, stopped at Saravana Bhavan for a quick breakfast and drove back, reaching home at 1030. Indeed a very pleasant and enjoyable morning drive of about 165kms up and down. Enough for an ‘Italian Tune-Up’. Was able to let the car have its head and use Sports Mode for a while and burble along and fiddle with the paddle shifters and all. I always rediscover my love for this car anew, every time I drive it.

It will be nice to see some pics from the meet-up and to know how it went. I live a little far from this route on Hosur Road, so taking ORR on a Saturday is something I would normally avoid.
