Do agree with @krraj.
I had been there. We left around 11pm from bangalore, reached the foothills around 1am. Started the climb, it is little difficult as some places as rocks and it would be slippery because of the mist. We reached the top around 3 am and waited for the sunrise. Its very chilly on the top, take enough warm clothes. You might tell that it is not required while climbing because you will sweat but once you reach the top, you will need warm clothes.
Expect lot of crowd as it will be a holiday the previous day.

Have fun guys !!

I suggest we adopt this novel idea of Planting saplings in every TBHP Meet.
This is been discussed here http://www.team-bhp.com/forum/4x4-ex...excursion.html

Not a good idea to go with family, its quite steep and would require around 2+ hours of trekking. You can take alternate option, Nandi hills. Nandi hills in the morning is as beautiful as those posted pictures. Wait till 9 if its cloudy. We (me, my wife, my 7 yr daughter + 6 of my friends) were there around a month back and we really liked it.

Dont worry about the breakfast too, its available on top of Nandi hills. Not good but definitely manageable.

+1 to that.
Even I'm in, provided it does not collide with another meet on the same day.

QUERY :
I met one bhpian on Hyderabad road (Near the flying club) on 13th February,2010 when we were coming back from the drive to skandagiri.
Car was a White TATA Safari DICOR 2.2 4X4.
Asked you to stop but you waved and flew off.
Car number started with 4.
Can you please identify yourself?
