I just spoke to Mr. Srinivas of Speedway. He was happy to hear that Team-BHP was planning a meet there, and was delighted to explain about the facility and details of karting and ATV facilities they have there.

About the facility :
- located on Mysore road after Ramanagaram town, ~50 km from NICE road / Mysore road intersection
- opens at 9:30AM on weekends
- has adequate car parking facility for 20+ cars (clarifies a doubt asked by CrazyDriver earlier on this thread)
- has basic refreshments such as cool drinks, cold water, snacks, etc.

Go-Karting :

- They have 5 karts at our service
- Track length is ~700m (comparable to E-zone Torq03 track at Marathahalli)
- Karting is priced at Rs. 179/- per head. This includes 3 laps. Whoever wants additional time can buy extra tickets for themselves.
- Karts are powered by 200cc Honda engines and are rated at 9.5 BHP and 80 kmph top speed.


ATV :

- There are 5-6 ATVs of 2 categories - one type is a 150cc ATV and another is a 250cc ATV.
- The off-road track length is ~800m and 1 lap takes around 10 minutes for an average newbie rider.
- The 150cc ATV ride is priced at Rs. 219 /- and the 250cc ATV ride is priced at Rs. 249 /-.
- helmets and gear will be provided on the spot

For a group of 20 people, it will take approximately 3 hours for everyone to get a chance at both karting and off-roading. If we reach the place at 9:30, we can finish and vacate the place by noon.

Saturday or Sunday, either plan is ok. He told me to give him the exact (or almost exact) headcount, and he will block the majority of karts/ATVs for our group, so we need not worry about other visitors disrupting our meet schedule. Speedway was happy to know we were planning to have a petrol-head meet at their facility amidst petrol machines.

Please now let me know whether you want Saturday or Sunday. Aditya sir, could you add a voting button if possible? I will give Speedway an approx headcount number by Thursday and tell them which day we are going there (based on what you guys choose). I am ok with either of the days - 6th or 7th.

+1. There is something about it which makes you to keep going back for more. I go there almost every saturday morning for an early morning drive + breakfast at Bidadi.

Do join in. We target to reach there by 9:30, and get back by 12.30-1. If you need to leave early, you can go for the first few batches of karting and ATV, and can take leave at your convenience.

Im not a big fan of 'Idli', but that shouldn't stop me from being on this meet.

Sorry I'd somehow missed your post. Yes, it is on 7th, Sunday. We plan to reach there by 9ish. I have requested the manager to open the place half an hour earlier. We can be done with our karting / ATV rides, and leave from there by 12ish.

These are no ordinary idlis. These are Thatte idlis served with butter, red chilly chutney and Potato Sagu. If you don't like that, you can have chitra anna. Otherwise, you can wait until we reach the karting place and eat some snacks there - I'm guessing they have the usual junk food fare - Lays, burgers, buns, blah blah.

Guys am out for Sunday as my classes are 2-6 on Saturday and 9-6 on Sunday. Final timetable due in a day or two but 99% out for now. I might just make it to the morning meeting point if time permits. So sad cos wanted to do this. C'est la vie. And yes Karthik, it would have been my alto. Good memory.
